    ‼️PLEASE READ THIS COMMENT : ‼️
    - FOR DRAMA NAMES, activate the subtitles.
    - The name of the song, the software and the coloring are in the description.
    - There are not many dramas because I was very picky. And even the ones included are not perfect.
I wanted to make this video to show that healthy relationships exist after seeing comments under my videos about toxic relationships. Healthy relationships do exist and toxic relationships are avoidable if you know your worth and know the signs of abuse.
But it was very frustrating to make this video and I am posting it with a bitter taste on my tongue. I kept very few dramas from the long list I started with.
I asked you guys to recommend dramas with healthy relationships and I got a lot of suggestions. But when I started looking for content, I came across surprise kisses, hand grabbing, bad jealousy. I did a huge sorting, and even among the ones I kept, some moments are imperfect and disturbing.
A relationship can't be perfect because people aren't. But there are ways to correct mistakes, handle situations and be respectful.
There are a lot of dramas that I didn't include, not because they were toxic relationships but because they weren't completely healthy relationships either. I couldn't afford to make a video about healthy relationships using just "passable" relationships. It's way too risky and would go against all my previous videos.
So, even among these kdramas that I kept, I ask you to have some perspective, they are not perfect. There are some that I haven't seen, haven't finished or have included with some doubt.
I also ask you not to blame me for not including some dramas (Vincenzo, strong girl bong soon, weightlifting fairy kim bok-joo, her private life....). I didn't forget them, I decided not to include them.
If you don't agree with the inclusion of a certain drama (Camelia Blooms for example), please do so in a respectful way. I am open to discussion and I know that not all of these dramas are perfect.
Overall, I wanted to include dramas that feature healthy relationships and not just "non-toxic" ones (because there are many of the latter).
To me, a healthy relationship is one that fully respects the other, while a non-toxic relationship is simply one that is not abusive. I think there is an important nuance and I am willing to elaborate if you wish (but it will remain just my opinion).
Thanks for watching, see you soon for a new video!

I avoided Kdramas like a disease because of the amount of normalized toxic relationship traits. I'm a 90's kid so the traits highlighted in the toxic relationship videos were so prevalent (my father hates Kdramas with a passion as he did not want me to normalize the toxicity and abuse).
Watching this video, it inspires me give Kdramas another chance since there are many that are moving towards a positive, communicating, and healthy relationship. Thank you for all the hard work and awesome messages to your videos!

Hyena didn't have a healthy relationship or even a realistic one, it had very ambiguous characters trying to achieve and gain profits. Although the sexual tension between them was there, the chemistry wasn't. She was just hurting him throughout and never did anything to change herself.

@@marufgazi9025 You can find these normalized traits in almost every k-drama. Try revisiting the dramas's you've watched and you can see it. For eg: the hand pulling. It irritates me because women are then treated like objects. Then the stalking. Some person said, it's not stalking if the guy's cute and you have these dramas to blame for that statement. Portrayal of jealousy. Jealousy is a human emotion, we all feel it at some point. But there are healthy and toxic versions of it too. Most drama's portray the toxic sides of it. If the guy see's the girl talking to another guy, it's end game. The girl breathes next to a male species, yes time to lock her up. Statement like: I only want you to smile for me, I only want you to look pretty for me etc used to sound cheesy and romantic for me, but now it just sounds obsessive and sadistic? I can't pinpoint it. I wish they would alter the sentences. There are many examples, the ones which we tend to overlook are so normalized, that if that behavior ain't normal, k-dramas wouldn't exist.
and like @Nox Dawn said, this channel creates videos based on toxic relationships which are accurate and beautifully done, you should definitely check them out.

Also, I think the portrayal of Baek Kyung in extraordinary you is a good example of different aspects of toxic behavior. Baek kyungs character was toxic, but he didn't want to be. For eg: the scene where the fl gifts him the racket and he has to involuntary act like a typical toxic rich guy who gets the girl in the end and after the scenes over, he snaps back to his own self and apologizes. And then there's this whole tension and angst later, but you can understand that. He's battling who he is supposed to be and who he actually is. If the characters weren't aware of themselves and the ml didn't come, baek kyung would have def ended up with the fl, and for that, i really love extra ordinary you, because it puts boys over flowers and all other dramas that have a toxic ml like that to shame, it says it's not okay.

I loved the message at the end!
Most people believe that a relationship is all about love when in reality for a relationship to work you need respect, trust, support and communication.
Because just like with any other relationships, someone saying they like you don't mean that they actually do. The best way to prove your feelings for someone is by treating them with respect and by trusting & supporting them ❤
Don't ever settle for someone who doesn't treat you like you treat them!! You deserve to be as happy as the people in this video ❤ Those kind of relationships exist, never lower your standards 🗣

And also how he liked her since their first meetup, but she was head over heels over her first love.. so he waited to confess to her, until he realized she was getting over him, and was ready.. these little things just make you realize how much theu respect their loved one/partner.. which is very appreciative💞🥰.. sorry just realised after watching this video about these 2 couples, 3 scenarios 18:52 wed

I really appreciate them asking for permission first before kissing, that's shows respect and all. Not unlike those other male leads that just suddenly grab the female lead and kiss them.

When your partner starts to manipulate you that's not love anymore THAT'S OBSESSION and OBSESSION IS NOT A LOVE. If he starts to be possessive and abusive you need to break up as soon as possible, if not, you're gonna face the worst that even sorry won't work anymore.

There were some kiss scenes where I actually felt afraid because of how violent and rough it was. It made me feel like puking.

  • @noonooshK

This makes me realize even more that most huge/ extremely successful dramas with biggest and most well known actors/actresses do often have some toxicity in the relationships portrayed and yet people eat those up like candies.
A lot actually find excuses and reasons to justify concerning behaviors or even swoon watching them. They get amazing ratings and views. I wonder why?
Us humans are really strange creatures sometimes.

    • @user-insight
      @user-insight 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Because when we don’t understand true love we try to get quick fixes. Why have the couple slowly get closer and ask permission to kiss each other when someone can constantly shower them with the other person with attention by constantly stalking them, bothering them and surprise skinship.

    • @jchen8902
      @jchen8902 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@user-insight and many people have been socialized into believing that this kind of thing is "romantic". Our society wants men to be aggressive and persistent and women to be agreeable and pliant, especially when it comes to relationships. People have it in their heads that manhandling, stalking and such are manly, and hence, attractive - and that women allowing it to happen are "in love" - and such toxic relationships are thus romantic. All these dramas didn't blow up and they all have similar audience reactions: "too slow" "boring" "male lead is not aggressive enough". People don't want communication, consent, and respect for the same reason that assaulters say they don't ask for permission - they think it kills the mood.

"...even among the ones I kept (those listed in the video), some moments are imperfect and disturbing". First, it's good that you're aware no relationships are perfect. I hope that means you're also aware that no relationships are completely healthy. But you're right that people can learn and do better. Both sides would have to put in the effort of teaching the other and making the other aware of their mistakes. So, these drama in the video may not fit in your completely healthy list but they are at least healthy enough (I can't say to all of them in the video but I've watched some of them and I do agree for them to be included). That said, don't give up. And thank you for sharing, your videos are necessary.

Can I promote still 17? I really loved that drama. It was the first depiction of a relationship in any media form that truly made me want a relationship. I hope more people will watch it, it’s truly a wholesome experience!

Run On is really beautiful. I really like the fact that they also focused on self love. There’s this dialogue that Ki Seon Gyeom said, “Out of all the things I’ve loved, why have I never loved myself?” and that makes me question myself. So I want to try loving myself too

Run On totally gave us the best relationship (and the best chemistry) to ever grace a Korean drama. So sad at how underrated it was.

in a world that idealizes characters/boyfriends like sunoh from love alarm and suho from true beauty, be/fall in love with someone like ki seongyeom from run on.

As I mature, I start loving dramas with couples that has healthy relationship, it is more fluttering and romantic. I have looked back on dramas that i considered classic but now I can’t stomach.
I’m hoping you can make more videos with healthy relationship, please watch Hospital Playlist 1 & 2, and hopefully you can include it’s couples (it has four loveline), season 2 gives so much more scenes and development on its loveline so you just need to watch both to see their progress though it’s still ongoing right now.

Thank you so much for the effort, I can imagine how frustrating it might have been... That's what bothers me about most K-Drama, even if they start good, there are still sooo many moments which are just not healthy or are adressed properly.
