It looks like Horlicks just needed a constant companion and having another pet in the house who would provide unconditional nonstop company was the right solution. Glad Horlicks and Hero are happy together.

I agree with that we had just one Maltese shitzu cross however we were worried about her being alone considering her breed do get anxious a lot easier so when she was 2 she had a litter of pups we kept her son cause she only had 2 sons 4 girls and we got him desexed and we have never regretted now she has a constant companion we love both of them so much.

But every evening we’d go for a 30 min walk and cap it off with some play near a tree in the lawn area. This was between 2011-2013.

I love these dogs but I’ve had a couple of incidents with this type of breed attacking my Akita now I’m afraid when I see these types of dogs. I know not all are the same but if you ever have been around a dog fight it’s very horrific and frightening

Not chubby 😢 - Stocky. Actually he’s a British Shorthair (albeit with a flatter face and more bulging eyes than are usual) and they do have a stocky build, wide heads, and that signature thick thick fur.
That looks like a British Shorthair kitten. I had a yellow lab years ago and got him a British Shorthair friend, they were besties from day one. Great choice for his companion!
Hollis is very big, i am glad that he has found a nice smaller friend, Hero, who has a heart of love big ❤ 💖 to help Hollis remain anxiety free. 🙂 very nice 🌄 story.
Super happy Horlicks has a brother to look after him. My dog Riley had separation anxiety as well a combination of family love and getting another animal that he could interact with helped him out. Horlicks will do well and seeing him and Hero play is so great.
I like how when we first see Hero he fits in the frame of the camera/vid, but then Horlick comes in and his nose & eyes is all you see 😆 I'm glad these 2 have each other to keep one another company. Also love that they go out on walks together 💛

I love when people get a pet for their pet. I have a dog-walking client who recently let me know she's going to be getting her dog a puppy soon. I'm thrilled, because her boy absolutely loves every other dog in the world. He thinks every dog is going to be his best buddy and he wants all of them to play with him all the time. I've been hoping his mom would get him a friend for awhile. He's gonna have a happiness overload when a new baby shows up, and I can't wait!
That was real cute I use to have a dog and cat that played really well together they would run thru the house chasing each other it was funny they grew up together they were both rescues

Omg, I laughed when their mom said she left them alone for a half an hour bc it sounds outrageous, but I understand 100%. As someone who has a rescue that formerly had severe separation anxiety to the point of injuring himself to the point of bleeding, I understand that even 30 mins of your dog being ok when you're not there is such a relief.
How great! 😊 An anxious pup got a friend to ease his anxiety, and a kitten got a safe, secure and loving home. The owners now have the best of both worlds- a dog AND a cat! And us, Dodo viewers, have a sweet heartwarming story to watch. It’s a true win-win situation for everyone!

Despite animals living in a loving home with humans whom adore them, many pets would hugely benefit from the presence of another animal (which doesn't even need to be of the same species) especially if the humans go out to work. These loving humans recognised this immediately with their beloved pup and brought in a most adorable and playful companion/playmate for him. They get along fantastically, each being perfect for the other, and to see this gorgeous kitty initiate play or snuggles with the pup is lovely.
Well done you, understanding your dogs needs, plus, a home for a cat, I have done this many times myself, cats and dogs get on, you are a good soul. Blessings to you all.

I've seen people walking with their dog and the cat is walking the same way, maybe 30 meters behind. It looks funny.
