When we first visited them after our son's birth, we walked in & the cats froze and stared at the baby, and then with a look that clearly said 'Oh my G.od they've brought another one home!', they tore out of the room to their favorite hiding places. Hilarious!
Older cats/older dogs don’t usually get along. That’s just their instincts. They see another big animal coming in as an intruder. So they either avoid them, or attack. That’s why they always say to socialize them as much as possible when they’re kittens and puppies.

The golden was going, "Squeeee!" in doggo the entire time. The GS had to do an extensive evaluation over whether the small, squirmy things were in breech of the perimeter, but determined that they were non-enemy combatants in neutral territory. And also dey kinna kewt. 🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈

It's funny to watch breeding at work here. The retrievers have very retriever reactions: the first is like "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Ohmygosh! Ohmygosh! Ohmygosh! We are now the bestest friends EVER!!!!" And the second one is like: "Play? No, they're boring. Play wit dis." And ge shepherd is immediately like: "Who are you, what is your business here and shall I count thee friend or foe!?" Lol
I just want to say thanks for sharing. I haven’t been able to have pets for various reasons over the years and this was an experience not all pet owners could see either! I really enjoyed this interaction with your pets!😊
The cat mon was incredible. So calm and relaxed with the dog right next to her kittens and sniffing them. You can see how much she totally trusts the dog they must have a very close bond.
You've told her their your herd. Soo so happy. You ask her to check and they don't smell the same but you tell her their same herd. So she agrees. And is happy again. The kittern are now defended for life.

There’s a Nature episode on wild dogs. It’s fascinating. The way they take care of one another is unbelievable.

It's the owners responsibility to educate it to be gentle
German Shepherds are naturally scared of kittens it takes them a lot to trust kittens but is awesome when they break their fear.
German shepherds are gentle giants, we have a gsd named Loki and he looks big and intimidating but he’s the most gentle and loving pup ever. ❤
