  • Looking to add some magic to your logo animation? Check out this tutorial on creating a fabric embroidery effect using Blender's geometry nodes.
    In this tutorial, you will learn how to:
    - Create a stunning fabric embroidery effect from a logo SVG
    - Animate threads to appear gradually over time, giving your logo a magical touch
    - Use Blender's powerful geometry nodes to create this effect without the need for complex animation techniques
    - Access the project files and other assets on Patreon for added convenience
    With this technique, your logo appears to be created out of thin air as threads gradually weave together to form your design. You'll be amazed at how simple it is to achieve this stunning effect using only geometry nodes.
    Don't miss out on this tutorial that will take your logo animation to the next level!

    Great explanation I'll try to replicate this effect to better understand the nodes you used.
    The cheery robot voice is clear but feels so weird, though. I'd rather hear any real person doing the comments.

    Thanx a lot. Is it possible to set handle position (offset) depending on spline length? I'd like to make curve height of stitches small if they are short, and increase it if stitch is long

    • @CGiJutsu
      @CGiJutsu  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It could be done if edge length is retrieved and remapped to multiply with the handle position, but would have to be tried. I'm not sure if it would work, if I try I'll let you know.

    Looks amazing, but I need to add, as a professional embroiderer that such embroidery would never work in real life, or to put it other way, it would be very bad embroidery. Because inner thread direction is the same through the whole logo.

    I have a question ! This works like a charm when the geometry of the logo do not countain a hole, since you couvert it to a single face. Like for exemple, if you want to do the same with the letter "A" the top part of the "A" (the triangle) will be filled with curves :/ Anyway to make it work for a logo that coutains a hole in the mesh?

    • @CGiJutsu

      I've shown in the video how the Adidas logo (which has closed loops) is used with the geometry nodes setup. Closed loops logos can be used with the full version project file available on my Patreon page.

    Hello, first of all, it is a really nice work. I have a problem in the animation section we did at 13:48. Even though I did everything properly, the image I see is very different from the one in the video. Why do you think the lines are too stuck to the ground and do not move?

    • @CGiJutsu
      @CGiJutsu  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Did you make sure to connect the 'distance' of the geometry proximity to the color ramp, and not the position? Also check to see if you've applied the scale to your objects.
