Brad, you are so much more than s metal detecting. Your music, your leather work, your music, your friend Eddie, your friend Chris, your kind manner, your beautiful wife, the way you love her, your adorable son, your cats.... you are the kind of guy that we all want as a son, brother, cousin, friend... i will watch everything you post. My husband, when he found your channel years ago, found a channel we both love. I get notifications on my phone when you post. He gets a notification too. Typical scene here is one of us yelling to tell the other that "Brad has a new video!!"
"Today unfortunately is not one of them" Referring to feeling well, yeah my first thought was "Brad's eyes don't look too good today". All your subs and fans are pulling for you!
I said it back then and I'll say it again the story of Anna and the pendant was the best metal detecting video I've ever seen. It was a real class act.
VIDEO REQUEST: My hubby and I love watching you, and are praying for you- hope you get some great answers at your upcoming appointment! I remember you telling us that sometimes you take the buckles or other items you find and work leather and use the buckles/ put those items back to work. Maybe in these terribly cold months when you can't go out- you could show us the making of some of these items? Maybe you could show a flashback of you finding the item, tell a little of its history if you can find it, and show us you working your leather and putting it back into use?
Morning,Brad... healing is a process that takes as long as it takes. 22 years after a neurological disorder,I still sometimes have very mild relapses...mild compared to the original symptoms. I have just in the main learned to live with it. Sounds like you are doing the same. I wish you the best outcome on this journey.
Good to hear your starting to feel better. It really seems like Lime disease I recently watched a video from AT hikers talking about getting Lyme disease and they talked about tingling arms and pain that would seeming move around to different joints. I plan to start using Permethrin whenever I go into the woods from now on. Nice of XP to hook you up with some cool swag!
Brad, for new content, create themed, long-play compilations. 1-2 hours in length. Top 19th Century Finds, Best River/Lake/Water Discoveries, Best of Europe, etc. Just daisy-chain videos you've already produced with short, on camera introductions. New viewers may not have seen older videos. Fans will watch longer content.
I’ll keep watching as long as you keep making the videos the way you do. No extra drama. No jumping up and down screaming. Relaxing music. Giving background and history of an item and area is a big bonus. Brad, yours is the only Medal Detecting channel I subscribe to. The others are so fake with drama. Like all of the so called “Reality” tv shows that I refuse to watch. Keep doing what you’re doing. Oh and I expected an invite from XP to come back to Europe . You are a wonderful Brand Ambassador in my opinion.
Your kind demeanor and calm presence are a big part of what makes your videos great. You are also a musician. Make a few music oriented videos or maybe a tour of your treasures and projects. Possibly what you are doing with your finds like re-purposing.Just ideas, not trying to run your show. Love your work and will wait for more.
Thanks, Brad. You had me laughing! "Except the second one. People hated that one." It occurred to me that the reason I love GMMD IS because of your artistic style. I rarely watch other metal detecting channels. . .
I loved your silent video and both series. My perspective is that if I hadn't cared for one or any of them, I knew I still liked the vast majority of your content, so I'd most likely love the next one. That's why I stay subscribed. You can't please everyone all the time, and I like that you occasionally try new things! I'm glad you're feeling better, at least much of the time. I hope the ratio of good days to bad ones continues to improve. Not knowing must be incredibly frustrating.
Glad to hear that you're feeling better. I love your channel, and actually felt pretty bad about making some comments on the silent video and your 2nd miniseries. But in your interview, it seems that you weren't too upset... This makes me feel better.. Hope you had a wonderful holiday season and looking forward to whatever you publish in the future.
Well, I guess I must be weird because I liked your mini series! The silent one, not so much, but I watched it anyway because it was YOU metal detecting in a beautiful place. I look forward to whatever you come up with. Prayers!
Praying you find answers from the neurologist. Hopefully your detailed journaling will help. So looking forward to another miniseries with Eddie, you two are always highly entertaining!
Prayers you have more good days than bad. A diagnosis would be great but may not help you live with it. Looking forward to spring and your future vlogs.
glad to hear you are feeling better day by day, week by week that's great news. Love your posts. I've been following for about 5-6 years having discovered you in Lock Down. your my "go to show" stateside on a Friday evening, with Scottish Detector my Scottish metal detecting fix here in Scotland. I've learnt so much from you and Love the posts and nature incorporated into your show, its great to get a glimpse of beautiful Vermont . The music too is fab, its great you do all the editing and incorporating other talents you have with regard to the music. you also dig up the stuff! lots of which i can recognize when you dig it up ... me saying "its a croto" or " oooh, Cutlery" "oooh suspender" "ooo pocket watch" Love it. :) wishing you continued health improvement and all the best for you and your family in 2025. best wishes from Scotland
Howdy Brad ! Great to see you again & hang in there , you’re doing great ! We love your show & we love your music , we ( I ) don’t care if you don’t find anything, just getting “out there” & taking fotos of bizarre flowers is ok by me !! 🤠
Hi Brad, I still have you in my thoughts and prayers! Stay strong, we all understand you do only what you feel you can do…God bless you and your family ❤
Haters gonna hate. 😂 I loved both of the mini series and the silent video. You are an adventurer, an artist, a historian, a musician, a father and a husband. Personally, I feel like I am close friends with you from watching all your videos over the years. I pray for you often. I think a lot of your subscribers would watch a video of paint drying if you put it out. 😊❤
that is awesome that you kept records of your illness, maybe you can be a case study to determine what is the issue and help other potential victims of it in the future. Please don't stop, even if you have to do re-runs. Nice gift!
Man I was so hoping they were sending you across the pond for an epic treasure hunt! Also glad to hear you are feeling better. Hope it can be fully resolved soon!
I’m glad you catalog your finds. I’m no archaeologist but that certainly helps save more of the story of the relics you find. It’s always a pleasure to watch your channel.
Brad, we really enjoy your videos and vlogs. I think a good vlog would be a tour of your display room and showing your favorite 5 or 10 finds. Also maybe how you clean up and identify your finds. Sending prayers for your continued healing. 🙏
How nice of XP! When you feel top form, maybe you can use the suitcase for a trip to Scotland to detect with the Scottish Detectorist! That would be fun.
Good Morning Brad I agree with CC58, I'd love for you to post some of your favorite previous videos during your 'down time' if need be. Continued prayer and belief for your total healing : )
I really like it when you do different things and switch it up some...be yourself..loved all the series!! And the quiet videos!! Be yourself..be the artist you are..be well!
Can't think of any more deserving ambassador for XP than yourself. Pleased to hear you're sort of on the mend. What a story to tell your grandkids. Keep your coil on the ground!
Hi Brad, Thanks for all you do. I always enjoy your videos. Glad you are feeling better. I hope they find out what caused your illness. That was a nice gift, it's ready for you to travel when you're able to. Have a great weekend. 🙏☮️💜 from Wi.
Dude, you're still.ocking out content, the blog seems to be a great outlet for the channel to expand and cater.to.the other side of your adventures. I'm happy for ya bro, stay the fight, and keep being yourself. Definitely a Top 5 channel for.metal.detecting by far.
Brad it's nice to see XP appreciating you & your channel. Here in Canada I can't go out detecting either because of the snow, yet earlier today I plugged in my XP detector, headphones, & pinpointer to keep the batteries charged. It's because of you (and Chill Bill) that I have an XP detector. I'm very happy with it. So although you may not realize it the way XP clearly does, you are not just a TH-cam content creator, you are an Influencer!
That was a great VLOG. What a nice man Phillipe at XP is to recognize an ambassador like yourself. Samsonite make great luggage. Your livestream camera is so clear and sharp compared to others, really high quality. I think your mini series were great and both would be great for television. You just have to sell it, all the work is done! Please continue to have more of those green days Brad, as others have said, we are all wishing you well.
Ok , so my hubby and I enjoyed your mystery series and would love to see another! In fact, when you were opening the suitcase my hubby said, I’d this a start of a mystery!? Please do another ! Dream up an idea and go with it. Prayer for healing. I too have been going thru a mystery illness, jolting/tingling. One day at a time, we got this. ❤️
I have been watching you as you struggle with the illness you are going through. I, too, struggle with, at first, was an unknown illness. Since December of 2020 I have fought every day to live my life as I did before I was diagnosed in February of 2024. My final diagnosis after seeing 12 neurologist was an unknown disorder called FND, functional neurological disorder. I have lost my balance, being dizzy all day every day, therefore causing nausea. I cannot drive anymore or do simple tasks around the house. I have pains, needle pricks and an aching all over my body. My vision has been affected, too. I am weak every day. I've been doing telehealth visits with a therapist from University of Alabama for the last eight weeks. There has not been any improvement with my condition. I do hope you can find out the cause of your disorder and how to treat it. I pray that God will lead you to the right doctor who can help. I have found that a positive attitude helps and a belief in God is very important to living every day.
It was such a pleasure meeting you! I enjoyed hearing about your detecting adventures and seeing some of your finds. Wishing you continued healing and hope that you find the answers you are looking for at your upcoming appointment. 😊
Glad u r feeling better, maybe look into mitochondria help? The vax has caused issues. Lots of info out there. Maybe show us in detail how you edit, what you use, how you clip segments out etc. tks for the blog!
Have they ever said if it could be long COVID? I don't know if you've had COVID but your symptoms sound like long COVID. I'm no expert but? Hope you continue to feel better! Love your channel so much!

Brad, thanks for the health update. May some definitive answers be found soon. Are you doing any leather work? How about posting some videos of your leather work.
Hi Brad, Great video. I like the Vlog posts! I like to watch you doing craftmanship work with your hands too! I was wondering if you've made Guitar Straps from leather? I liked watching the leather holders you made for your detecting tools! I thought those were so interesting!
I have been watching you for about a year I don't comment ever but I wanted to tell you my sister in law was sick just like you the doctors told her she had lime disease. Then she may have Parkinson that's been 4 or 5 years ago. never did find out what was wrong she is all better now back to normal so hang in there. You will get to feeling a lot better
Brad, your 5 year old videos have been popping up in my youtube feed and I've been watching them. I've likely seen them before, but enjoy them again. Maybe you could pick out old videos and provide a link in your winter videos? I think folks would enjoy them. Hope you are doing well.
Hey Brad Sounds like you are a mystery as far as your 4 months. God is with you. Continued prayers for you and your family.🙏🙏 would love to see you making backpacks, if you still do that.🙏🙏😘
Ok, I am so glad you mentioned the intermittent tingling. My husband, has had, for the past 2 yrs had neurological symptoms that startedout the same way, but more, perhaps you have more as well. He has not progressed with further symptoms, but has some of them have eased off. Would love to correlate with you. Neurologists have not been able to pinpoint a iagnosis either.
If you ever have a green day but it's still winter, I'd watch you going ice fishing. lol I'd rather see you get whatever you have under control and be healthy, than draining your body of all hope of getting well trying to put out new episodes. Your FAMILY NEEDS you more than we do so take it easy until you get solid answers from the neurologist.
Have you ever done a video of your collection? If not, it could be a good off-season video. Good luck with your health issue, brother. Maybe a tick did get you out there in the woods.
Brad, you are so much more than s metal detecting. Brad, I personally liked the treasure mini series. Did you ever see the BBC show Detectorists? It had 3 seasons and I absolutely loved it.
HEY! Good morning Brad !!
Still praying for you Brad, and will continue to do so.

West Covid Nile with lime , a wicked combination 🍻🍋🟩
So Glad your doing better
Loved the story of your first metal detecting experience. So fun. Brad is a great story teller and I learn so much about history. I'm drawn to Brad' s channel and enjoy his artistic flair because I, too am an artist. I missed the silent videos. Keep working on your health issues. I'm also a now retired medical professional and wondered if you are experiencing a vaccine side effect...influenza/herpes zoster/ meningococcal/ Covid vaccine injuries I've seen during my years of practice. I had no idea if he even gets vaccine so this might be a mute point. Praying for a full recovery for you Brad.
Interesting interview
Brad congrats on your gift from XP great gesture
Well deserved

Because you take the time to do the right thing historically you are a credit to the hobby !
Brad, thanks for the health update. May some definitive answers be found soon. Are you doing any leather work? How about posting some videos of your leather work.
Brad, did you journal everything you ate? Have doctors ever suggested an elimination diet?
We all care about your health issues and would love to help just be sure to listen to your doctors and to your own body above all else. ❤
I would be interested in seeing your collections, also the leather working and designing you do!
Hi Brad, Great video. I like the Vlog posts! I like to watch you doing craftmanship work with your hands too! I was wondering if you've made Guitar Straps from leather? I liked watching the leather holders you made for your detecting tools! I thought those were so interesting!
Don't worry - we are here regardless!
I have been watching you for about a year I don't comment ever but I wanted to tell you my sister in law was sick just like you the doctors told her she had lime disease. Brad, your 5 year old videos have been popping up in my youtube feed and I've been watching them. I've likely seen them before, but enjoy them again. Maybe you could pick out old videos and provide a link in your winter videos? I think folks would enjoy them. Hope you are doing well.
Same happens to me I first subbed to aqua chigger years ago. I like when his old videos pop up.
I ❤ the stories
Terrific.
Hey Brad
Sounds like you are a mystery as far as your 4 months.
I was hoping for a new coil possibly a small elliptical one. keep on trucking Brad.
If you ever have a green day but it's still winter, I'd watch you going ice fishing. lol
I'd rather see you get whatever you have under control and be healthy, than draining your body of all hope of getting well trying to put out new episodes. Your FAMILY NEEDS you more than we do so take it easy until you get solid answers from the neurologist.
Have you ever done a video of your collection? If not, it could be a good off-season video. Good luck with your health issue, brother. Maybe a tick did get you out there in the woods.
Greetings from south Carolina 🎉🎉🎉
You know I really liked your older metal detector videos 😁
