My first electric was a 57 hardtail. Awesome guitar! Played thru an early silverface twin with orange backed JBL's. Clean tones to die for! Went from that to a 52 tele (yes, I'm that old)
I think this is the most wanted guitar from Fender there is, i heard a lot off famous guitarists talking about! Its out off my reach but iff i could....... nice played.. again!
I have a Riggio custom that’s based on a ‘57. Got it 10 years ago now. Hand wound Riggio “heavenly ‘57” pickups, ash body, flame maple baseball bat neck, nitro. Amazing instrument. Not insanely cheap and a long wait but far cheaper than a real ‘57. Great video again Michael, Jen and Norm. Merry Christmas.
Need a tele to do Christmastime is here Lemmo, but you still did a good job with the strat. Don Ross does the best version ever if anyone wants to check it out.
Will the documentary be on u-tube for those who don't participate with Netflix ? Would love to watch it...I believe Jen could make that happen on u tube...with Norms approval of course...what say thee ?
@@runwin3 Sorry, have to disagree, the original had the truss rod adjustment at the bottom of the neck, so no way they would make a hole on the headstock and then have to plug it. I own a 58 (bought at Norms) and has no plugged up hole. They started to headstock adjustment later, so when doing re-issues, since all necks were made with headstock adjustment, had to plug up the hole!
@@tonyn1926you can disagree, but you are wrong. Google search if you want. Look at an old Norms Rare Guitars from 3 years ago to see for yourself. Knowledge is power.
Lemo absolutely nails A Charlie Brown Christmas, it’s fantastic! Wishing you all a joyous and merry holiday season!
57 is my dream guitar. I'll never be able to own one. A boy can dream. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to everyone! 🎅🏻🤶🧑🎄
hopefully 2025 gives you a new job with such a disposable income that a $50k guitar is chump change for you ❤
Buy a 57 Japanese 80s reissue. They are awesome. $1500 vs $50000
Get the 115model and it's basically the same as this @@pappyprimetime7510
Just buy a replica they sound the same, there’s no magic to them. It’s just simple electronics.
@@alexcorona Yes these vintage pickups 57's sounds so nice... My fave single coils now after this video...
Ohhh the memories.... Merry Christmas to all of you at Norm's.
Someone else loves a Charlie Brown Christmas! 🎸🎄

That`s Christmas music!
Still a beauty Michael! Looks like mine! Merry Christmas Michael and Jen! What a set and what a Christmas present thank you Michael thank you Jen!
Wow... 57' pickups has become my favourite single coil pickups after this video. It's so good.
Merry Christmas everyone!. Wow what a special guitar. Love hearing the holiday Peanuts covers.
Rocking Linus and Lucy hahahaha Merry Christmas to everyone🎄🎄🎄

Great video again Michael, Jen and Norm. Merry Christmas.
I've got a May 1957 Strat...S/N -212xx Olympic White now yellowed into more of a cream color. Well played maple neck. I've had it 40 plus years.
Hope all had a 🤘🏽 Christmas .🤘🏽👋🏽 To Jen the one that makes the magic happen with her camera greatness .
I hear some bridges of sighs yeah!
Very Well Done,Merry Christmas.
First like and comment! Merry Christmas! 🎄 strats are the best!!
Why….did all other electric guitars 🎸 die?🤔
It has been great. Great sounding Strat. I have a new 57 reissue. Sounds and plays great. Like that one as well. Not as old as me
Merry Christmas to all of you at Norms!
Need a tele to do Christmastime is here Lemmo, but you still did a good job with the strat. Don Ross does the best version ever if anyone wants to check it out.
My local guitar center has old used guitars sometimes. Maybe I'll pick it up next time I'm there. Interesting.
First comment - Merry Christmas!
Yes can we please see Jen on here at some point, lol BigAl California thanks
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas
This amazing instrument would be very much appreciated if it was under my Christmas tree 🥳🎄🎸
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Merry Christmas to all at Norman's
Love Michael's take on the Lucy and Linus theme
That Strat is a force of nature! My gosh, credit card limit?
Patiently waiting for Mike’s solo album to drop.
Merry Christmas from dedicated followers from Canada and all the best in 2025
Merry Christmas NRG crew!
Now we have to have an April fools with Jen on the couch with a Mustang or something and Mike behind the camera. 😂
I believe ECs Brownie Strat is a ‘56.
Will the documentary be on u-tube for those who don't participate with Netflix ? Would love to watch it...I believe Jen could make that happen on u tube...with Norms approval of course...what say thee ?
I don't think that's how it works. Why would Netflix allow something they paid for to be streamed for free on TH-cam?
Why is the truss rod adjustment in the headstock? Is this a re-issue?
Truss rod adjustment is at the heel. Walnut plug is right above the nut.
@@runwin3 Then it is a re-issue, as originally did not have the hole to have to plug up. No way 57 had a plugged up hole on the headstock!
@@tonyn1926yep, original 57 maple neck has a plug in headstock

DON'T EVER QUIT NORMAN'S RARE GUITARS AS A COMMENTATOR PLEASE 4:45
Might as well have been a 2024 Squire with that much added effect.
That last number you did was 🔥😃 . I know that it is Charlie Brown background music when Lionus plays the piano . Do you know the name of that piece ?
It's called "Linus & Lucy"
Early 58 two tone stratocaster
The finish looks so easy to apply wasn't it actually?? Fender must do this kind of finish now when paying tousands to Fender...
All I want for Christmas is a hairbrush and a bottle of shampoo
…..and a '57 Strat maybe? 🎸🤔
Goo's one
Am I the only one that was confused when Hendrix did Little Drummer Boy?
That's like Neil Peart playing Malaguena.
🎄💚💚💚👋👋👋
👍✌❤🎅
Why do you demo it with all the effects...OD/dist, reverb....but not pristine clean to show its "native" tone ?
Who is gen?
Annoying voice in the back ground.
No disrespect, but I never understood demo-ing these guitars without a large focus on clean tones.
brownie was a 56...oh and my shirt size is extra large
Could of been a little cleaner but great
Robin Trower
Mike I truly enjoy your playing, but dial back the reverb a.little bit. To much reverb not enough guitar. Merry Christmas.
That amp sounds like crap!
Impossible to hear what the guitar sounds like with that signal path. Shame.
Guitar sounded great. Very realistic signal path.
@@runwin3 Every Strat sounds the same if demo'ed that way. No nuance whatsoever.
@@Nordic_SkyI can hear the differences. Even on mobile
ヴィンテージストラトを弾くサウンドセッティングでもフレーズでも無い気がしてならない。全然個体の良さが伝わらない。
bridge of sighs with no vibe? noooooooooo.
Underwhelming demo
Norman's rare guitars
Norman's rare people
Merry Christmas to all
I dig relic guitars, but this sound is hard to replicate. The sound of a legitimately aged guitar and pickups. It's hard to replicate that.
