Real fine player. My son can do that stuff, and he's a stress analyst engineer ... I LIKE this guy. Down-to-earth and has a guitar story a lot like mine!! My very first guitar was a 1954 Stratocaster my just divorced dad gave me for Christmas of 1963. One July night in 1965, the band I was in with my older brother, played in Palatka FL, 50 or so miles from our home. We stopped on the westside of Jacksonville (an area that would eventually produce The One PerCent and Lynyrd Skynyrd) and dropped off our drummer ... and forgot to put up the back window on my brother's 1961 Ford station wagon. Stopped on the Fully Worn Bridge to pay toll and the axe went sliding out the back onto the Jacksonville expressway, never to be seen again. Not a good night for a 17 year-old kid.
Greetings Robert, I would have liked to have seen & heard a bit more of his playing. We all have stories about some of our blunders, or injuries caused to our axes. Thanks for linking Shawn's info. Warm regards and keep rocking! Happy New Year!

The PLD broke my heart, but for different reasons. If you had taken that case, full of splinters and dust, and brought it to Johnny Rushing in East Tennessee, he would have restored it.
