    I feel like that pipe is probably holding it back a bit, try a wide open can or a straight out pipe maybe. I have not gotten any pipes with diverted flow or back pressure to make more power then a can muffler. Haven't tried straight out yet though.

    She sounds a lot snappier. Hopefully you can get her dialed in and try that long bar again!

    Looks good if rpms are up but low end maybe not so much. I see that in a lot of people's porting. You will get er!!

    It’s a thin line between a neg or pos result when making changes. May be worth trying another muffler/pipe when finished.

    Did you by chance advance the timing on that thing? I noticed a pretty nice response gain whenever I got mine about 4 or 5 degrees hotter...... Sorry didn't wait till the end of the video to hear you talk about timing. Lol. But hey I'll leave it here anyways.

    Looks like a decent 53cc chainsaw to me. After you're done with it, the Redmax Gz5000 might be a good measuring stick? My brother has the Husky 55, & I have a Jonsered CS-2152. I wouldn't trade with him, but I like both saws.

    • @alexstromberg7696
      @alexstromberg7696 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      55 and 2152 are completely different saws. One is a farm and ranch and the other a full pro saw.

      @@alexstromberg7696 Since we own them, we sort of know that. They aren't the same age, nor has the 55 seen 1/10th of the work. A guy can still compare them despite the label & age.

    I think it would actually cut faster with a less aggressive grind... I'm afraid you're near the limit..

      If you do your research on actual race chain, .020 on the depth guages isn't uncommon. Too hungry is slow too.

    Rebuilding a 55 Rancher. How do you replace the clutch seal? finding lots of crank seal removal but no clutch seal removal.

    • @novicelumberjack
      @novicelumberjack  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is no "clutch seal". Only crank seal.

    Fast but won't last...nice hobby saw....production saw... you'll get about six months out of it....before a catastrophic failure. Shoe

      Dont think anybody that buys and fixes a 20+ year old 55 has any plans for production. More 372xp/ ms660 territory

      Firewood saw/ backup non production saw
