    I have a whole new respect for Marilyn Manson. This is a great example of how intelligent he is.

    marilyn is super intelligent and bill couldn't get his goat. i loved michael moore's interview with marilyn in the movie bowling for columbine. i remember when antichrist superstar came out. a friend of mine taped the CD for me and gave it to me. i loaned it to my bf/roommate and he latched onto it and played it ten times a day for months. i was happy to give the gift of MM to a good friend. god bless you MM. you're awesome.

    I know it's crazy. I anticipated a full on argument. Probably coz Manson never really disagrees with Bill or challenges his ideas is why the whole interview goes so well.

    • @dianatrejo2006
      @dianatrejo2006 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah the way you do a peaceful arguement is validating some points but then stating something true about the statement.
      For example: My dad: It's better to have abusive straight parents than gay loving ones because it's not natural.
      Me: True gay people can't reproduce but your fertility doesn't determine your parenting skills, and psychologists with doctorates degrees will say the quality of parenting matters more than the sex of the parents in making a happy child. You should know you were abused and you didn't even graduate high school plus you also drive while drunk.
      And then my dad will perceive to theow something like a toddler because he has narcissistic personality disorder and he does,'t like being wrong.

      Not a Bill fan but Marilyn Manson is clearly not shy nor dumb, he’s clearly openly devout to satanism. Thank you Bill for challenging degeneracy

    Whenever the question of "Will it affect children?" is raised it all boils down to what the parents allow. If the parents are good parents then they will be able to control 90% of what a kid in their young years... So why are makers of ADULT material always questioned. If you don't want to see something or you don't want your kids seeing it don't watch/ sow it to them!

    • @dianatrejo2006
      @dianatrejo2006 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      EXACTLY! Parents have to sacrifice their media and entertainment for the sake of their children take responsibility.💁

    props to bill on a few things. His questions truly reflect what concerned parents thought of manson at that time, they seem silly now but this is good journalism. He got manson to try to counter every general concern about him. He also doesn't go at manson himself and instead talks about the potential ripple effects of his music. He seems to understand the difference between manson's intent and what people are hearing. Hes not throwing any gotcha questions either. Love or hate him, this interview shows good principles of journalism only with a conservative bias (which is the audience that would even watch this). We all found out more about marilyn manson because of this interview.

  • @Duckagee

    i see what he says when he mentioneds flipping around peoples morale's. why believe in something you know nothing about, or something your parents believe in, life is about making choices and experimenting with what you like, knowledge is power right. you have to see things from anothers perspective to get the full view. and marlyn manson is simply pulling open the blinds on our dark little media filtered lives. thanks

    oriely is pointing the finger at manson saying "you are bad" idk if this was his job as the interview or a personal undertone. i think this has a more harmful effect on kids, than mansom himself and children without guidance come on. im pretty sure most kids would turn to their God. but even ppl in happy loving families listen to manson, he is a true artist, fully expressed.

    I was a teenager in the 90s and felt like Nirvana gave us teenagers the voice we didn't have. We felt like our parents didn't understand us. We had a lot of teenage angst and wanted to know why we couldn't express anger or frustration in certain situations. Like, I hate my boss, he's an a$$hole, why am I not allowed to say that? Nirvana opened the door for people like Marylin Manson, and I liked all the 90s grunge music of that day. But now, as a grown up, I see the wrongness in what these musicians did. Today, we have normalized the worst of our society, the most vulgar, violent, and disrespectful individuals and it reflects in the lyrics of those like Nikki Minaj and Megan the Stallion, etc, and the every day behavior of others. But this vulgarity all started with those like Marylin Manson who pushed the envelope so that just a little bit of vulgarity was allowed here and there, but it just opened the door for others who came after to push that envelope a little bit more. It snowballed until we ended up where we are today. From Nirvana, to Korn, to Marylin Manson, to Cyrpress Hill, to Coolio, to Snoop Dogg, to O.D.B., to Wutang Clan, etc. We need to go back to censoring the vulgarity on our media platforms.

    Honestly, the Fox narrative at the time didn't do Bill O'Reilly's calm intelligence and humour justice. Dude deserves way more respect than people give him IMO
