But that's even worse.
I think he probably meant "aggressive" but for someone who is in the position to be interviewing well established musicians, and who I'd imagine probably had some degree in journalism or the music industry, he didn't seem too great at expressing himself and what he actually was wanting to know.
Same here, but man, are his interviews great. You get a sense of how much intention and thought he’s put into his role as an artist and entertainer, and what his responsibilities are. You just gotta respect that.

I remember that interview with Gaahl. He is very solo and private and in a rare moment invited those reporters into his life and home. He shared food with them. He spoke candidly. And in the end, what you see here is his complete disappointment that, in the entire time with him, they understood nothing. They may as well never should have been there. The disappointment on Gaahls face was clear.
I was looking for this explanation. Felt his disappointment through camera and his response was so damn perfect. “I don’t think you’re focusing on what’s being told.” Gaahl looked DONE. Man’s time and efforts practically wasted in that moment. Definitely a teaching moment and learning lesson in hindsight though!
@@MusicFromTheOm Gaahl spent most of his life as an icon, with people wanting to talk to him, buy his art, and listen to his music because he was Gaahl. Right before this clip, he says that he's tired of people acting like he's greater than they are and worthy of leadership and guidance, because he's not. And what does the interviewer say right after? "Guide me."

last interview... GAAHL, who lives a live far away from society, did this great effort to spend 2 or 3 days with some guys trying to explain he does not want to be seen as a role model. The last day, during the interview, one guy asked him how it feels to be a role model. GAAHL realized that the 2 or 3 days he tried to explain how he is and what he stands for, was all for nothing... There is a longer upload about this visit on youtube, that's worth watching.
I saw it different: Gaahl took him on that long hike to try to teach him about a certain submission to nature to find personal power and the only question he could ask was about being *lonely* . He thought it was a weak sheeple question, and something about focusing on someones supposed loneliness, when they've already shown you a unique experience is irritating. th-cam.com/video/32iX5lbVDto/w-d-xo.html

There is a longer upload about this visit on youtube, that's worth watching.
I saw it different: Gaahl took him on that long hike to try to teach him about a certain submission to nature to find personal power and the only question he could ask was about being *lonely* . Johnny Rotten is one of my favorite with interviewers ...
He's a class act
Lives in Venice beach, CA and complains about the homeless and drug use...ah the irony as you get older 😂
Definitely entertaining! 😎👍
I met Jesse Leach once in Endicott, NY in 2010. His band The Empire Shall Fall drove 9 hours to play a gig in my town. The night had some glitches, and their set was cut short by the bar owner shutting off the lights on them for apparently playing too late at night. I was kind of shocked, but Jesse and all the guys were still so humble and everything. He was genuinely nice and courteous and thanked me for coming as there were so few people in attendance. I will always admire his attitude and down to earth nature. He gave me some free merch and shook my hand. Humble as fuck.
