Interesting in buying this bass... curious: what are your present thoughts on this bass assuming you purchased it? Nothing against your playing, but the bass itself sounds rather "flat" in this video. i now own 3 of these, black and two honey hi polish, and i also own a SS1, it has to be said they are all on par with the SS1.
I think I might get a used one of these for $700…Is that a good deal?

how does this bass compare to the fender mim jazz bass?

Quality wise, far better, but as has already been said it is a completely different animal.
