Great to see you fishing in my old stomping grounds. I'm from CT originally, and fished out of Montauk for many years. I'm sure they told you that Fluke come much larger . . locally referred to as "doormats".
The sounds that those sea robins make reminded me of the croakers we used to pull out of waters in Mississippi back in the day.

The Fluke seem to be out at Montauk.We were out there this past Saturday and had a great day. We were entered in the Moriches Anglers Tournament and took 1St 2ND and 3Rd place for a sweep.

Ha-ha at (7:40) I first thought it was an actual 'hand' sticking up...then i saw it was a glove but still looked like maybe a piece of flesh or a "wrist" was attached underwater (you never know - it could have been, because after all it is New York).

Quite a contrast to the Florida fishery. As the predatory species seemingly decline we have become inundated with sea robins and small BSB's.

I took a trip up to the northeast this summer. It's pretty cool seeing the contrast between not only the shoreline, beach and surroundings. But the difference in boats, boat setups and marinas. It's way different from south Florida or even my gulf coast. Cool video guys. And Brian. Leave your sister alone! I think she could take you bro. LOL!

I've caught plenty of sea robins, but none with wings that big. I'm also surprised you never caught fluke or here we call them flounder. And before I close this out, Amy is super cute! Tight lines!

That is the story of my Fluke Fishing off Southern New Jersey. No keepers, but fun none the less.
Catching fish in Florida is easy. Up here in the northeast it takes some skill for finding them keepers. Those Sea Robins were huge tho. Good bait fish.

Catch'n isn't alway keep'n.... but it's always fun! Here in Southern Wisconsin... it's mostly Cat's & Carp... for real fish we hit Lake Michigan.... Sturgeon... Coho... Chinook!
OH.... and there's the tributaries of the Wisconsin River for Walleye!
Hopefully you guys will be catching some bluefish and large stripers in the Long Island Sound and Montauk..!!

This is Hilarious! FL - catch Mahi, Tuna, Tarpon, Snook, Ribbon Fish, Snapper, Mutton, Sailfish, Sharks, Kingfish, Spanish macs, Albies, Cudas, Wahoo and more. NY -catch grunting sea robbins and short fluke.
Darcie looks awesome like always tho, so I watched it all the way through. We're on a nice little Atlantic Bonito run up here by Martha's Vineyard. Hopefully you can get off shore and get some tuna and Mahi before you have to (get to) go back to FL

Hey, just a point , blued are a " garbage fish" , but for the size there's no better fish to hook up!
FYI...those sea robin bellies are excellent fluke bait....cut a 6 inch strip to weed out the small ones ...jig rapidly...big fluke will jump in the boat

I was suppossed to fish with him, he cancelled on us. So nope.
Even if he was stupid enough to not hook up with you guys...the NY crew could learn a lot and get into a lot more quality fish if they watch & learn...you to..I have fished up here for a long time...there is a lot of great info in his vids. You guys do a good job in Fl but are looking like newbies up here...keep learning ....tight lines!
