    We use a steel trace on big choppers like that. Epic session Jerry. Thanks for taking me fishing again.
    Do you get bull sharks and hammer head sharks following those schools? Be careful. Most shark attacks happen in less than 4 feet of water.

      Really like here in New York?

    • @scottschlemmer4787
      @scottschlemmer4787 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bull sharks are rare up here but have made a small showing do to the huge schools of rays we have been getting. Cobia and Black Drum are getting more and more common here as the ocean gets warmer. We never used to see them. The big thing is the resurgence of bunker, we are getting huge schools. Whales right off the beach, plus tunas and local sharks like threshers, spinners, browns etc. Because of the recently imposed slot limits and the fore mentioned bunker we are going to see some huge striped bass being caught - and released.

      We get sharks some more southerly ones are appearing more. I did have a encounter with a 7-8 ft shark a few years back. I startled him by wading back into his tail, he then startled me by sweeping me up over my feet and I went head under. The boil was tremendous we were both shaken up! Not in here but a similar setting on a flat near a drop.

      I Thank you thank you! The fishing been a bit like that here with a surge in striper and a dwindling bluefish bite. about 8 year back for a long time bluefishing went on like this for a few month in spring and fall. Now its a few weeks to a month in spring and close to zero in fall. See what rest season brings. Thanks always fishingbuddy appreciate the words!

    Awesome action out there Jerry! Quality fish - hoping they're around this weekend! I see a couple of people complaining about spot burning...... These are the guys that need crutches like we talked about. I Couldn't imagine not being bright enough to find fish elsewhere or adapt. If some people didn't complain of guess they'd have nothing to say!

    • @FishYourWay
      @FishYourWay  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Going to quote ya Joseph - "If some people didn't complain of guess they'd have nothing to say!" I don't feel the need to explain things to people, but you know, we have talked. What I will say about people who are scared of spot burn, either that someone has not been fishing to long, or that kind of person who complains just don't have another spot to fish. It goes hand and hand and follows up with your quote. Been doing this 10 years now if anyone has something to say about the dynamics of spot burn it is me. I would know. I do know. I never had any issues with it.

    Hi Jerry, There's nothing like a Bluefish blitz. When they blitz, they attack more fiercely than any other fish, except maybe a Tuna. Their fight is relentless. I'm so glad you found them close to shore. The Bluefish season has been great this year. You've caught a fluke, Stripers and Blues and the season is just getting into full swing. Today was a FUN day. Hope you have many more. Good luck and have fun, Mickey

      Doesn’t matter if it’s secret or not. Or public or private. It’s disrespectful to the regulars to spot burn, and when a bunch of idiots that don’t know how to fish a lineup start showing up crowding a tight sandbar and bringing all their buddies, that’s when spots get ruined and turned into a complete circus

      @@brianmurphy6862 it sucks man I hear you, but this is just the new age of fishing. A truly skilled fisherman nowadays can find fish able spots that will always be empty.

    • @brianmurphy6862
      @brianmurphy6862 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BaldyFade this is very true, and we know plenty of places that fit that agenda, but a place so close to home? There’s not many at all. And watching another one go to shit is sad. It’s not even all that good a spot comparatively to others. It’s just that it was nice to fish a place with 0 googans and easily accessible
