Back in 1982 my mom bought me some Ray Ban did the same thing and now 40 years later are back but back then they were darker in sun light than today’s .

I see you reviewed both "clear evolve" and "solid evolve" ..is there any difference between them as far as not-squinting goes?

Isn’t this the same as transition lenses? That they put on prescription glasses?

i have bausch and lomb brown changeables aviator.. when they hit in direct sunlight they react so fast and i have BL odm ambermatic.. but no one can beat the classic g15 lens on direct sunlight 😊

Those are awesome! I wish I could find a nice pair for sale but they are getting really hard to find
B&L photocromatic glasses react really fast. In less than 30 seconds they get dark. A pair of Ambermatic glasses can reach 3N category of darkness at the same 15% transparency of light than G/B 15. Until I know, is the same with all B&L RB photocromatic glasses except for the pink ones...
Difference between a pair of Ambermatic glasses when they're dark and the G15 is the color. That's why you could see lighter through the Ambermatic, but in cold they get kind of silver grey/green. Also they react according of UV light.

Yeah, it's really a shame they must be only cat. 2 so just for cloudy days, they really look great
I bought them and realized the lenses when indoors were not perfectly translucent. They are slightly yellow tinted due to the photochromic function. Just a remind if you are thinking of purchasing them.

Nice vid. What’s a darker lens than evolve (in sun), but not as dark as standard polarised ?
A little bit late but i had a grey to violet evolve and they were good un sunny days, of course you would still squint but only when you looked above

I have L2928 which has same feature. Maybe it was first Or second Gen of Evolve series.
I don’t have any issue using them under harsh sunlight, maybe your eyes are too sensitive.

I have the yellow ones that turn *darker", I like the yellow look, but visually.....
My eyes felt like salted slugs in the sun. They make everything look BRIGHTER.
It’s nice to see Ray-Ban coming out with interesting lenses. These aren’t as good as the original Ambermatic lenses. We are beyond peak lens technology. Buy the old ones. They also have gold frames not the cheap new ones.

Yes it does, thats the main reason i bought them, cuase i work on a computer 10 hours a day. They work like a charm 👍🏽👍🏽

@@DaniHerreno yes after wearing them glasses it does help relaxing the eyes plus they help a little with the sunlight but not too much like regular sunglasses. I mostly use them during work hours and they do help me a lot

When they are “clear” are they totally clear? And do they stay clear indoors or does it react easily to light?
They only react to UV light so light that is not produced naturally in your house

Heyya. Would love if u can clarify, when indoor does the “clear” glass have a tint of slight yellow shade? Because i see it is not really that clear as in white clear like those in reading glasses.

they seem yellow because those are the clear lenses with the blue light filter coating. If you check Ray Ban website you will see there is also a clear version without the filter.

No. They are two completely different things. These are rayban lenses not transitions. Transitions seem to be better because they are darker and protect the eyes better.

Clear lenses are nerdy, I want tinted for indoor and dark for outside.
I don't think based on your head shape Aviators don't look to good on you IMO

Very confused...Ray-Ban don't advertise the Clear Evolve models as sunglasses at all. They even have a unique section on their homepage, outside the sunglasses section. Why would these compare to sunglasses then? Of course you were squinting. You're using clear photocromic lenses as it were a full-fledged sunglasses smh
Also why would the lenses darken in UV light if they're not sunglasses?... Seems Ray Ban are a bit confused as well...

@@ShadeReview in normal transitions lens you can get it 100% clear to tinted outside but not as good or slightly tinted inside and really dark outside...seems this rayban one is closer to the 2nd
