That's a great technique to suspend a fly. You could also use a balanced leech, a fly that has the hook eye in the middle of the lure, so it sits horizontal in the water. I use balanced leeches a lot when I'm fly fishing and suspend it under a slip strike indicator, which is hoity toity fly fishing language for a bobber that slips down the line when you set the hook.
That water is nice and heavy so you get great casts to launch that fly out, and “fly fish” using a spinning or casting setup, and it being clear is nice and stealthy also, you can also play around with the amount of water and make the bobber suspend or sink ever so slowly,
Fall tiger trout fishing is my favorite! Thanks for sharing this!
This is becoming one of my favorite fishing channels. The whole walleye content is interesting and makes me rethink things.
A bevy, a family or a lodge of otters 😉Nice fish on a glassy lake, great job 👍
What an absolute beautiful place you’re fishing in
Thanks. I love fishing these high mountain lakes in the fall.
I love bobber fishing. I usually use 1/2 dew worm. This time of year it slays. Will have to try a fly sometime. Awesome video as usual!

Yes I use balanced leeches a lot when fly fishing my local lakes.
I had a football teammate in college named Buck Brown. True story.
Nice
A group of otters in the water is called a raft.
Learn something new everyday!
The color scheme on that kayak makes it look like you pedal so fast you set the cockpit on 🔥 🤔
You ever try a whopper plopper? If they are hitting the bobber it makes sense right?
I'll troll a Pistol Pete some times
What are the advantages of a water bobber vs a weighted bobber?
