Greetings Helen, from the " LAND OF 10,000 LAKES " MINNESOTA STATE USA! Helen, your channel content is AMAZING! BRAVO! I am a disabled, self taught artist and work mostly from my bed. I am so grateful to All the artists on TH-cam! I have learned so much from all of the extremely generous and very talented artists , such as yourself, on this FREE platform!!! I thank the good lord everyday for TH-cam!!
Helen, you are a ray of sunshine!!☀ It was SO LOVELY to watch you work, and I definitely agree with your philosophy about art - art need not be difficult, and your videos definitely make our lives easier, and help us all to pursue art, and that, my friend, is a precious gift! Thank-you so much for your beautiful videos, and for brightening up my day! 🥰🤗❤👏🎁✨🐝
Thanks, I've just painted my own interpretation of your poppy with stronger contrast, fighting with my not very absorbent cellulose paper and - in spite of the paper! - it was fun and I like the result 😉
Ah yes. That paper does make the job a little harder. I’d like to see your painting. If you are happy to share you can post on our private facebook group
Beautiful flower, I love poppys. Those little hairs look tricky but really made the painting look so lifelike. I also really liked the etcher supplies. Those brushes looked elegant and I love that storage case. 😊 Thanks for a wonderful tutorial!
@@raecampbellsstudio Unfortunately I haven't found anything photo worthy around me of late...Nothing I want to paint anyways but I DID find a website with free photos and they clearly state that the photos may be used for personal or commercial use, even for artists so I found some good insect, bird and flower images there.
@@raecampbellsstudio The one I found is called Pixinio and there's a BEAUTIFUL picture of an African Daisy I bet would make an amazing video for you to do. The colors in it are just insane. I'm going to try painting that too eventually. The folds in the petals are pretty wild. I'd link it but idk if youtube would let me.

I really liked the way you did the "hairs" on the stems! Adding the color on the tips really made them look lifelike.
Thank you very much Eileen

Hi. Pixabay are free use as well as unsplash. I’ve used them for a couple of earlier videos
