Always love watching you painting Rae, cute fish, lovely painting, think the editing of this video is one of the best I have seen. The up close view is just fantastic. Love seeing the photo on the screen and your artistic licence as you create. 💖
Hi. The reference photograph is at the end of the video for you to screenshot. If you’d like a traceable then you’ll need to join our Facebook group. The link is in the description.
I don’t stretch my paper either. It seems to work well for me not stretching. I guess that would be a personal preference, stretch or don’t stretch. I can respect that. I just do what works for me!💝💝
I think I'll start trying to follow your botanical tutorials with my polychromos pencils. I find I am much more comfortable with pencil than I am with paint and I really want to see what sort of results I get. I recently splurged (made an investment if you will) and bought the 120 set.
@@raecampbellsstudio I think it might be good because like watercolor, you layer pencils (I'm sure you know this as you've most likely used them or use them) I realized I'm a multimedia gal. I can't use just one thing. So while I adore watercolor, I was feeling too confined using JUST that. So I've branched into pen, gouache a bit, colored pencils and graphite...So far. But I think following your tutorials will be easy enough since most of the Faber castell polychromos have the same names as the paints you use so all I have to do is snag the pencil of the same color (or close enough to it) and follow along. Gotta say I'm excited to try.

I would love a tutorial showing how to deal with buckled paper.
Do you mean how to prevent it from buckling or how to deal with it after?

Am I right in thinking they are oil based?
@@raecampbellsstudio Yes indeed! The polychromos are oil based.
@@AbraCassandraCrafts I think I may have tried them a very long time ago.
