I found this video 2 years later 😮, but omg, when I thought I tried everything. 😅 This has been the best video I ever seen. It will make my planner customization a lot easier and budget friendly. I subscribed. Thank you for making this video. ❤
@@MariellyAlvarez718 Yay!!! 🎉 I’m literally sitting here still using the same notebook (refilled many times). 💕 I just had to scrap a piece of paper and it was so nice to STILL not feel guilty!
@EasyOrganizedLife I have so many packs of the college rules paper sitting in here lol. I'm thinking about making a few of these notebooks. This will definitely help me clear some space 😂. Wow! It definitely comes handy. Were you able to label the dividers? If so, can you share what sections did you use so that I can have some ideas on what to put on mine? Thanks in advance.
@ I’ll make a video about it! I try to track things like health, books I want to read, podcasts, movies, house projects, vacations, brain dump… the list is endless!
@@EasyOrganizedLife Oh, that would be fantastic. I'm looking forward to this video. Thanks for sharing. My brain is all over the place when it comes to ideas, and it takes me a long time to figure out how to organize my thoughts.
I just clip the end of the coil and twist it so it comes completely out. Way easier than cutting all the sheets along the coil and no shreds of paper all over lol. Since i have to trim it anyway, it makes it way easier and less messy 😉☺️
I've been doing this for years for school and work. Fun to see someone do this today for folks just discovering discbound.. The 2 leftover tabs can be turned for top tabs.
Yay! there is someone else out there that stresses about "expensive paper"! Let me know if you make one for yourself! It has been so freeing to not worry!
This is so cute!!! I’m going to make a couple of these. I two have a guilt about writing on the HP Notes paper even though that’s what it is for! 🙄🤦🏾♀️🤣🤣
Okay, but which KIND of purple? I love a good plum shade, but I feel like most products out these lean towards a lighter shade. I’m the same way with my pink preference.
I have done something similar in the past but seeing this video got me thinking I could throw some lined notebook paper in my classic Happy Planner, toward the back and it would be great for putting ideas on paper. Thank you!!
This was awesome and so much fun to watch! i am so excited to try this because I too, feel guilty using my HP pages for random notes. So glad I found your channel and can't wait to watch it grow. new subbie here 😊
Ah! 😍 You just made my day! Welcome! So glad you found this little corner of the internet! I’m excited for you to use your first page in your new notebook. It’s so stress free!
I sure hope it will be, since we're very alike in the sense that I "miss" my stickers once they're gone 😭 lol I'm currently doing my currently page because I've also said since day one, that it makes ZERO sense that it's placed BEFORE the month we're supposed to be documenting in the first place 🙄 haha anyway thank you for the help with your detailed videos, I'll be on a binge as i try to work something out between these 8 planners. lol
We’re twins! 😂 I’m so glad someone else thinks the Currently page being before the month is bananas. As far as stickers go- I was just editing the video for tomorrow watching myself using stickers and wondering if I should buy another one of the sticker books just to make sure I have enough. 🤦🏻♀️
You read my mind! I did that. Of course, mine is not as neat, but I need to purchase a gelatine cutter scissors did not keep me straight but they still work. I really like this. Thanks
I’ve found that when I’m actually using my notebook I don’t notice the imperfections that I was stressing about. 😂🤦🏻♀️ It has certainly helped me let go a bit and just enjoy creating.
New subscriber, This is awesome! I love this. Have you done anything with a composition book for a simple planner? I look forward to watching more of your videos. TFS
@@ninjareli It really comes down to preference. The Arc punch can punch more papers at once BUT the actual size of the hole punched is closer to the edge. I love the hole that the Happy planner makes, but you can only punch a few papers at a time and it makes me nervous when punching anything thicker like a cover or plastic divider.
What paper cutter are you using. I love your video as you have basically gave me one of the ways for me to customize different ways to help organized somethings in my home.
Thank you! I think it’s the margin line that come printed on the notebook paper. They way I cut my pages caused me to cut off the line on one side, only keeping it on the back.
The clear front cover is a chopping mat from the Dollar Tree! They come two mats to a package. I love them. I use them as covers and for clear dividers. I made a video with a link to free tab templates a little while ago.

Hiya! I've just found happy planners and I'm obsessed! I'm in the UK so unfortunately we don't have wonderful craft shops like you do. I have a bit of a silly question....I plan to put together my own happy planner with inserts and dividers etc. I have found a happy notes book on sale online, so my question is can I use this notebook as my planner and then add calendars etc into that? I can't seem to see any difference between the planner and happy notes other than the types of paper? Please let me know if Im wrong? Thanks so much, love watching your videos ❤
Hi there! The good news for you is that there are so many shops that sell printables. So you can just purchase the file and print at home! Yes, the discs and covers will work for the calendars as well as the notebooks. Just make sure you are buying the correct size and you should be good! Enjoy making your own, I think it's super fun!
I really thought the notebook cover was going to become the new HP cover for the most value out of the notebook. Without using the cover, I'd def buy filler paper for this!
OMG my dream of having a super chunky discbound notebook can finally come true. Thanks so much!
Yay!!! 🎉 Have fun making it! 😍

How do you make mini happy planner paper
could you explain the difference on why use the arc punch instead of the happy planner hole punch for the whole set up? Thank you :)

Is it thick like happy planners paper?
It can be if you choose thicker paper. I chose regular school notebook paper because I didn't want the stress of using "expensive paper".
