In this hyper-competitive world, reading the newspaper has become an unavoidable part of life. However, many of us face difficulties reading the editorials because they use advanced English, which we don’t fully understand. This series is being launched to address this issue and help you read with ease and full comprehension.
Editorials mostly contain complex and compound sentences, which create a significant challenge in understanding their meaning. The first and foremost thing we must do is to identify the subjects and verbs in the sentences, as this will help us understand the meaning more readily. I am applying this principle in each video.
The People's Chronicle is one of the most popular and widely circulated English dailies in Manipur. It provides authentic, unbiased, and comprehensive news to the people. The newspaper is also available in e-format on its website, epaper.poknaph..., which is particularly beneficial for me in making this video.
