    Thank you very much!! Your videos are incredibly useful and well explained.
    Everything works like a charm on a dedicated PC and FreePBX. Regards!!

    Thank you! this is super helpful. Can you use a cable instead of bluetooth ? I just feel a cable might be more reliable.

    I have successfully configured outgoing calls from my FreePBX. Is there a way to route incoming calls to an extension or ring group? Incoming calls are dropped with the current configuration.

      You need to add a Custom Trunk and use the trunk in Outbound Route.

    I tried with android - nokia 8 more specifically. The pbx is actually behaving like a headset and just performing a regular call. How do I route that back to the extension I called from?

    How do I set up inbound routing? I can't receive incoming calls from external callers.

    I've followed these instructions and am able to place calls but the audio always automatically routes to the cell phone. There is no audio on either direction from the IP phone behind Asterisk. If I try to switch manually on the iPhone 6 to Bluetooth, the call drops. Has anyone resolved this? I'm on a Raspberry Pi 3B.

      Good question .... never heard of it 🤷‍♀️ When I stumble upon something like this I'll let you know. Usually people use chan_dongle or chan_mobile.

    Hi Sir, flawless. It worked perfectly. Thank You. However there is a slight issue on my side. Whenever I restart / reboot asterisk. Iphone
    seems to require another pairing, and this happend everytime. Is there a way for Iphone to actually auto connect bluetooth
    to asterisk / raspbx like other accessories ?

    I'm getting an error. "Skipping adapter hci0. voice setting must be 0x0060" I changed it to 0x0060 (as it was set to 0xb000), then run chan_mobile again but it still shows the same error error. I rebooted the server and it reverts back to 0xb000. Do you have any suggestions?

    • @HOTKEY404
      @HOTKEY404  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. There could be many reasons for that. It might require a restart of dbus, bluetooth, bluez or alike.
      In my case I connected USB adapter (in addition to built-in) and both were visible. And course check with 'lsusb' if you can see the device.

    Hello, is it possible to add more than one smartphone? and automaticaly switch between these 2 phones if one of them is not available?

    • @HOTKEY404
      @HOTKEY404  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would require some testing. But if both are paired and connected to Asterisk, then it's quite simple to do a failover

    • @HOTKEY404
      @HOTKEY404  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've heard it might depend on RPI version, module version and your phone. Some have tried pairing with bluetoothctl command.

  • @rudradev1pal
    @rudradev1pal 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you have a list of recently available mobiles that support chan_mobile trunking. More specifically with android devices

    • @HOTKEY404
      @HOTKEY404  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To my knowledge, since it works like a legacy Bluetooth pairing, it should not depend on the device. I tried iPhone and some unknown Android ... both worked the same way as in video.

    Thank you for your very useful video. I have outgoing calls working with my 'RealMe 7 Pro' phone using an Asus BT211 dongle running on a Pi2. (I tried a Pi3 but the inbuilt bluetooth didn't work, or, at least, it was highly distorted). However, my efforts in setting up FreePBX for an incoming call have so far failed. The incoming call lands on the mobile, then briefly and "accept/Reject' comes on the screen before the caller is transferred to the mobile provider's voicemail . Please could you explain this final piece in the jigsaw so I can get it all working :-)

    Witam. Czy myślisz nad zrobieniem filmu jak połączyć telefon IP (np. Cisco IP phone 7941 albo inny) albo na przykład dwa takie telefony i żeby mogły one łączyć się wewnętrznie? Jestem nowy w tym temacie i ciekawi mnie to :D Liczę na odpowiedź :))

    Are you sure this works? In my experience (and what I read about the experiences of others), using RPi4's built-in Bluetooth will create garbled inbound audio but clear outbound audio. This was tested with Samsung Galaxy S3 and Google Pixel 2. To fix it, I had to get a compatible USB Bluetooth dongle listed here www.voip-info.org/chanmobile/. The consensus seems to be that an old Bluetooth module (like 2.0) is necessary for audio to work properly.
    Moreover, it should be noted that for some mobile phones SMS can be supported over Bluetooth. It is possible to pass SMS to Asterisk... if the mobile supports it.
