Thankyou for posting this great video. I used to love the ride from Chester to Llandudno jnc, fantastic days. You bought back the memories, especially of that ship en route!! Don't remember 20's on that route, but plenty of 37's. Thanks again.
Wow Class 20s everywhere! I wish these services still operated, the carriages and locos are fantastic, i think I'd ride them just for the sake of it. Rail travel is so prosaic these days, especially on the North Wales Coast.
Pure nostalgia, living on the coast I used to ride the 20's regularly will have to dig out my videos of them to Llandudno.
Those were the days. What a fantastic piece of nostalgia.
Wow, that was immense! Beautifully shot, well edited, a real taste of the BR days we all miss. Cheers!

And a kettle at 3:40 !
What a great vid, even the 81's and 85's lined up at Crewe.
20 years ago....heck
Slider2732 4771 Green Arrow no less. Do wish we could see her back in action, every bit as much a beastie as the 20s....
Thank you. I had almost forgotten this one so I watched it again myself.
Filmed by Steve Morris, Garney always reckons he was a head and arms out basher but he denied it. Cracking job anyway and superb sounds.
Locomotive looks like Ron Mael from SPARKS!
Thanks very much, always wish I had shot more at the time but at least I got something.
Superb, thanks!
I wish we could go back to those days, the only freight left in North Wales are the Flasks from Wylfa, such a shame.
Yes the Irish economy will have suffered too due to the lack of Container Transshipment Facilities at Caergybi (Holyhead)
the good old days love the vid
Proper trains is there more???.
i do like your vid 10 stars
Good stuff Ian,are you still actively recording?
Yes, occasionally, but the subjects aren't as good.
