I really enjoy watches and that's why I started this channel so I could review them regularly but my satisfaction is not found in owning or experiencing watches, no matter how many I may accumulate or how luxurious and expensive they may be . . .
Wise King Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 5:10 "He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity."
The truth is, material possessions of any kind, money, power, etc. never can and never will satisfy our hungering souls. Only knowing, loving, and serving God can truly satisfy.
The only way we can have a real relationship with God, the Creator of the Universe, is through the Lord Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6
Through Christ's sacrificial death on the cross, for my sins and your sins, and His resurrection from the dead we can have peace with God (Romans 5:1), forgiveness of sins (Acts 10:43), eternal life (John 3:16), and so much more!
In Christ, we can know true joy now and for all eternity.
"He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." - 1 John 5:12

Alpina is definitely a marque that appeals to me.
However, I own 3 good watches, the Citizen Promaster Tough Black is the latest addition.
The Longines VHP, 41 mm White-face, with an incredible accuracy of about + - 5 seconds per year and a Hamilton Khaki Auto 40 mm Dark Green-face completes the trio. All are less than one year old.

Just got me a 40mm Alpina Startimer. I was looking for a proper swiss pilots watch and Alpina fit the bill perfectly. IWC too big and too expensive.

Nice! Glad to hear someone else has bought a refurbished watch before! I'm not sure if I'll ever find out how or why this watch is considered refurbished but so far it seems brand new to me!
I think people buy them and end up with buyers remorse on a largish purchase. Probably end up returning before it even gets opened. I did that very thing with one of my first expensive watch purchases about 20 years ago. Walked out of the AD, went home, never opened the box..returned it about two days later when I realized I was in no situation to be spending that kind of money. Then about six months later did it again and kept it.....like an idiot still with no money.

It was a Panerai, I had no business owning that watch at the tine. I was 20 and broke...just discovered credit.
Levi Stevenson Nice! I have purchased a lot of things in my past that I regretted shortly afterwards so I’ve been there! It’s just a good reminder that in the end “things” can never truly satisfy!
Does this watch have a luminous bezel?
Only the triangle at 12 is lumed as far as the bezel goes. And unfortunately it’s a terrible application.

Dave Miller It is a beautiful watch! I’m not too familiar with the Seiko Alpinist but this Alpina is 1795$ retail so are they in the same league?
the Seiko alpinist is also a really great watch though

I have never handled one in person but I shot some video the other day with a frederique constant which is their sister company for my own channel and was absolutely blown away with the quality. Congrats on getting yourself a Great Watch. And great videos man I subscribed ! my channel is up and coming. I just got going three weeks ago but I have a lot of video im sitting on that ill release over time, once I grow a little more Id love to do a interview with you for my channel, it would be fun to chat about some watches and hopefully it would help both our channels grow a bit.
