This is very full for a newbie like me , playing under boxstock category 🎉🎉
Very helpful. Thank you, Claire.
Hi I'm watching from the Philippines nice break in
i exp on my stock motors i use it without break in , its a mabuchi brand not smc then i use it many times then i also think what if i break in it the result was amazing the speed same like atomic tuned
In some cases, you can get very good speed with motors that have not been broken in, but it is rare. Yes, Mabuchi is certainly a lot better than SMC motors.
Can you use the 14500 li-ion battery's they're rated at 3.7v each ,it'll surely overpower the 130 size motors
No, Li-Ion batteries are not allowed in any Mini4WD racing events. Only Alkalines for Box Stock and Ni-MH or Ni-CD for Tuned/Open Class races.
Direct to the process,
Hey Claire, when are you doing a Mach Dash/dual shaft motor break in tutorial?
Ah, that has been requested. It will come soon. Dual shaft box stocks can't reach the same peak speeds as single shaft, but the extra torque makes up for it in some cases. I'm able to get to 24k RPM for box stock. I don't have a lot of Mach Dashes, but my fastest one is 42k RPM without using the tuning methods I know now.
@@claredin miss Clare I have double shaft cream end bell Mabuchi it can go to 29k rpm at 3v and I only have just 1 of this cream end bell mabuchi dual shaft. Have you tried the single shaft cream end bell with this method too?
@@antonioiiielarmo9247 Excellent and congratulations! I will need to check my collection of motors again, but I believe I have used this method on a single shaft Mabuchi a few times already.
Is the ms chassis on and off button is same on other chassis type mini 4wd?
There are two kinds of on/off switches for MS: slide lever and dial
I'm Indonesian, STB class (standard tamiya box class)
That machframe wheels are painted with violet or its actually violet? In PH at box stock these painting thing is like mortal law for them
The wheels are painted. I wanted to get a good color match with the body.
Hi mem may i know what kind of water/oil u using when drowning the engine for break in
I use Philadelphia tap water, but if you live in an area with lots of mineral deposits in the water, I suggest using spring water from a bottle.
@@claredin ok,thanks for info and advice 🙏
27km/h for stock motor is super fast
Hi from the philippines. Box stock player here. For batteries, almost all of us, if not all, are using nimh 1.2v rechargeable batteries. Would you say that these rayovac batteries are better and makes for a faster box stock? Tnx
The Rayovacs are alkalines and give 1.63V when new. At some events, we are following the old rules and not allowing rechargeables for box stock. For some cars, the added weight of the Rayovacs is needed to keep the car from COing on the lane changer. I think you will see that there is a tradeoff between weight and battery charge whenever you compare alkalines to rechargeables. It's not a straighforward answer so experimentation is needed. Some tracks you will find rechargeables work just fine. Others will require alkalianes.
can i break in also smc motor at high rpm and can it match mabuchi on the tracks?
My fastest box stock motors are actually SMC motors :)
It's been a while anyway it is safe to use dual dynamo from single dynamo on tamiya?
Are you talking about modifying a dual shaft motor to run as single shaft motor? No, that's illegal, too
Hi clare, how can i purchase ganapati oil?
It's $12 a bottle plus shipping. Discount if you buy more than 1 at a time.
What motor oil did you use to make boxstock faster
It's Ganapati oil (my brand) and Voodoo (which you can buy everywhere)
Hi What battery is the best for boxstock
I like Rayovac blue/silvers.
Im from the philippines where can i buy that oil
You can only buy it from me. Unfortunately, sending this to the Philippines will cost more in shipping than the product itself.
@@claredin how do i contact u to purchase the oil. I`m from singapore and dont mind paying the shipping
@@mohdikbar1159 Shipping would be $20 to $30 (up to one pound), which might not be worth it. If this is okay, then i can sell some oil to you
Clare can you improve your audio... sounds like harming around
Yes, there was construction across the street, so it was a bit noisy in the background
