1:35 ultraright thing: torque depends directly by current, that's also what's responsible of Joule's heat losses in conductors.
As you can easily visualize, what heats the copper are the electrons flowing, not the electric fields.
Another explaination of heat hazard sits in the mechanical behaviour of DC motor: it increases the torque it generates until it doesn't reach an aequilibrium state and it has power to bear this. That's why a Mini 4wd warms sensibly when wheels don't revolute well: the maximum current that can be spilled starts flowing, but the torque generated remains not enough to move the car at the right speed

While lubrificating a DC motor we have 3 kinds of issues that could happen:
1) wearing on resins that cover every iron and copper (even if they are invisible) , that drives to 2) shortcircuits, which make more damages than the natural 3) collector-brush flamings, that actually could ignite vapors.
So, is needed an oil which is gently with resins and doesn't frees much vapors and gasses
