I love the care and craftsmanship that goes into this process. It's refreshing to know that even in today's age, there are still teams designing, sculpting, and painting these pieces. Thanks D56!

I am a little kid every time I open a department 56 box and I am 60 yrs old. Thank you all for your beautiful work.

I have loved your pieces for longer than I can remember. The first step to our Christmas decorating is "bringing out the Dickens village". Each year it creates it own wonder and magic in our home and, having been born and raised in Minnesota - I am proud of the craftmanship of your work and the way you represent my home state.

I discovered department 56 one and a half years ago and my life has become so much more pleasant. They are absolutely wonderful and you can create magic stories!

I hate how much these cost, because I can't buy them all! Lol. But I 100% get the cost because of the love and care that goes into each piece. My wife and I just started our Christmas Village collection and we're so thrilled to be D56 customers.

I enjoyed every second of this video, thanks for letting us know how these beautiful things were made. I really appreciate your hard work! Without them my life would be much less beautiful ☺️

This is fascinating. I really had no idea how the items are made and how much work was involved. But your products speak for themselves in their quality and beauty.

I’m sorry I’m not a Dept 56 fan, not for how expensive they are, but their houses don’t have big windows to peek inside. I have never bought a Dept 56 house for that reason.

It depends on what house or piece you are looking at a lot of pieces have things inside of the windows and the rest of the space is for the light inside of the house. As someone who has lived all their life with d56 everywhere you grow to appreciate and love the people and pieces of art.

So these beautiful houses are entirely made in USA??? Just: wow!!!

No, the factory where the houses are made is clearly in China, as shown by the Chinese workers and the Chinese characters on the worker's aprons

So sad , Department 56 went down the toilet after it was sold.

As someone who’s constantly around a lot of people that work and revolve around d56. It has never “ went down the toilet “ if you could see just how amazing the people and art effect people you’d be amazed at how passionate these people are.
