@HalloweenVillagesbyCarl I haven't yet used it. Had some Buffalo snowflakes but they were terrible. Gonna try the Dept 56 this year. Your video was a huge help again thanks.
Wow, I watched all 5 parts and now I'm so excited to build my village again. Your tutorials are exactly what I've been looking for to add details to my village. Thanks so much!
Amazing work as usual, my favorite portion is the tree farm section. When you said "Alexa turn the hutch lights blue" My Amazon Echo responded over here! Have a great holiday and look forward to riding along for the Halloween vignettes in 2022.
Very nicely done, the look is absolutely Beautiful..i love the brick walls and that news paper stand. The snow looks great. Given me ideas on how to do mine this year.
Really, really good. The blue light took it up a notch. I finished mine as well. An entire room with many thanks to you for being such an inspiration. I made a few trees. They came out so beautifully. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Great storage Carl I have a studio room for creating but no storage and all my dept 56 are in containers in another room but to have cabinets would be great. Love the houses you picked and fabric. Happy Holidays to you and family. Thanks you for you video..
Did you drill any holes in the foam to hide the cords going to the houses, I don't see the holes but maybe I missed something? Did you make a tutorial of how you made the sidewalk and road look like they have ice on them? I just love your step by step instructions. Truly AMAZING
Question…I put the skid tape down for my road but I really like the way your mod podge looks on your road like ice. Do you think I can put the mod podge down like you did and look like yours? Do I put fine snow flakes after putting in on and then dry?
I love all your videos Carl. I have learned so much. Thank you! Of the three types of snow you bought, which do you like best? Which is the most white?
Thank you Dan!! I’m pretty sold on the Dept 56 Fresh Fallen Snow brand-to me it looks the most realistic of all the products I’ve tried. Should be able to find it on Amazon as well.
@@HalloweenVillagesbyCarl thank you for your response. Oh Carl are we going to have to wait now until next Halloween before we see another of your projects? Or will you be doing Easter & other holidays?
@@vp4728 Nope…not going to have to wait. I plan on doing one more Christmas Vignette and then I have a bunch of stuff planned to get ready for Halloween!!!
Carl can I ask you why you don’t use the accessory lighting system by dept 56. I want to get it but have heard lights are dimmer do you know anything about it?
Hmmm…don’t really need it. All the houses on the left are all LED and work off their own adapters. The houses on the right work off of traditional C7 light cords. Not really sure what I’d do with the lighting system for my setup.
I used Mod Podge in two distinct lines and then sprinkled a little snow on it. Once it sat for about 2-mins or so, I used a paint bush to swipe most of the snow off. I then used the glue/water spray on it and sprinkled a few more flurries all over the road.
@@HalloweenVillagesbyCarl I went through the same process. Populating the town is the last thing to finish. Do I want this cool building or some people? I'll take the building.
I am so happy to have discovered your channel. Thank you, so much.
You are so welcome!!
I know I'm late, but this is fantastic. Also thank you, this is the only thing I can find that actually shows use of the Fresh Fallen Snow.
Thank you! Yeah, I think the fresh fallen snow is the most realistic I’ve seen.

Most of the cords in this piece simply fall off the back. There is a tutorial on icy roads-same concept for sidewalks!
Question…I put the skid tape down for my road but I really like the way your mod podge looks on your road like ice. Do you think I can put the mod podge down like you did and look like yours? Do I put fine snow flakes after putting in on and then dry?
Yes to both questions!
Thanks. I’ll give it a try.

How did you do the road...looks great...would like to see you do tutorial on how you did it...
Yeah…I’ll likely do one. It was an after thought honestly, but I like how it turned out!
Nice work Carl. Did the glue/water mix have any negative visual effects on the roadway or sidewalk?
No…dried clear!
Great scene. Will you be doing any more scenes?
One more Christmas vignette for this Christmas season!!
Carl you do great set-ups, thanks for sharing. Where did you get the 'Fresh Cut Christmas Trees', what brand?
Thank you! The Fresh Cut Tree’s piece you’re talking about is from Dept 56!

Are the hedge rows made from brushes laid on side?
They are Dept 56 hedges, but you may be on to something!!!
Hey carl will you be doing more villages for Xmas or will this be the only one?
One more vignette for Christmas and that’ll likely do it!
happy thanksgiving great job just one question did you use water down glue on the road for the ice look

I would suggest adding people. It looks like a ghost town. 👻
Agree-more will be added this season!
