@@pathfinderalin1562 Taking a medical time out is unfair?? You actually see after that Danielle didnt run for many routine shots from Halep, sure she ran some points down but it was the crucial points.... So now every player who uses a medical time out is a cheater?
Pegula is the perfect player to stop Collins’ win streak. Pegula is consistent, steely, and she doesn’t back down when the going gets tough like the other players Collins beat.
@@janjr165 not really. Collins won back to back titles and went on a run of a 12 match winning streak that consisted of many three setters. Nobody has played and won as much as she did after Wimbledon
Collins seems to have a few leg muscle problems if you look at all the taping. Pegula🥳 a great player, somehow she comes short deep in tournaments, not sure if stamina lacking. Like to watch her play ⭐
I'm always rooting for Collins but this was a super hard fought match and at least now she can rest those legs which are clearly worn out after so many wins !!! Take care before USO
Really impressive from both players, really good win from Jess. Danielle really did well to get it back to 5-5 in the third after how tired she has been.
How much I like watching these females. From one side Collins is super aggressive, energetic, and expressive, from the other hand Pegula very quiet, consistent and defensive. Love to see them upgrading their levels every year. BTW someone can tell me the name of the girl commentator?
There's a little part in me wanting Collins to win bcs she's been solid from Palermo to DC and now here, but mostly I root for Pegula since one of these YT comments really said that "Collins is the best active American player" and I rebutt that by saying that by the time at least Brady, Gauff and Pegula came back on Tour, Danielle would have to take a step back and well......glad I was right. Collins is great, don't get me wrong, and she fared quite well against the three other ladies I mentioned earlier. But for me she's 45:55 lost in a three set kind of thing against the three rather than able to convincingly beat the three players. She fared better against Anisimova, Stephens, Riske and Keys compared to the three And Serena.....let's give her a break. Unless Collins still played on singles Tour deep into her 30s, no need to bring Serena into the equation, because we know that even 2019 to 2020 Serena can beat this Collins, 2021.....depends on which Serena steps into the court
I totally agree with your sentiment. I remember the days where people are considered very good after they won a couple of grand slams. It never cease to amazing me how the standards of the WTA all of a certain got so low.
I’m a Collins Fan but I’m happy she lost. I think she should rest and not have the pressure of a winning streak before the US Open. I wanna her go consistently deep in slams already
I really like Danielle Collins, and her intensity too, but she must relax and enjoy herself on the court a little bit , sometimes she is her own enemy because of her dour demeanor.
Exactly... And it is one of just few strokes she is not good at because that kind of ball must be deep and with a lot of power and top spin as otherwise it's just like a gift for the contender... When she is hitting hard there is no WTA player that can be inmune to her power... Even Swiantek suffered that in AO 2022
Pegula is one of those annoying players who hits the ground with her racket when on defense. I find it a form of cheating to use the hit to push her back in other direction and also it's like a hindrance with the noise too. Can't stand it
@@mublikbublik7911 she taps the racket on the ground a lot when she's in defensive positions, almost as a way to push herself off in the other direction. You can hear it constantly
Collins, no coach or team and beats Halep and plays at this level. She is def a top 10 player.
@@mariabowers9604 To be fair Danielle, wasn't even playing that well... She made a lot of errors compared to the last 2 tournaments she won.

I’ll give Collins credit tho.. down 5-3 in the 3rd set saving multiple match points. Glad she didn’t just give up and actually tried to win.
She was actually down 5-2😳
Glad Collins can get some rest. She’s played a lot of tennis recently. Hope she is well
Tennis player live isn't easy, they don't stay at home ever just traveling and traveling, it's always welcomed a rest.
And congratulations to both of them Such a Close match.
I really like both of these girls and I’m glad to see them get better and better
you can really hear how clean these two are smacking the ball

Not really. Collins only lost because of fatigue
@@amandacerny8145: That’s an opinion worth considering, but all of the players are fatigued so that’s a poor excuse.

Pliskova: 😰
The 2 are my most favorite American women players. I don't want to see any of them lose.

Two of the best and purest ball strikers on your right now! This was one hell of a match between the 2 on fire americans :)
Def tiredness from Collins but also aided by very good play by Pegula! Love Danielle, but she needs rest before her next tourny! C'mon!!!!

Love that Adidas outfit. Tri Poloski!
Why is Collins so adamant to hit a moon ball to try and switch the pace? She has gotten burned every single time, past matches included
