Matt, whilst it is a sport it’s also a control to support farmers etc, can I urge everyone to support the NO to keep Chris packham petition, he doesn’t understand what he has done and how damaging it is to songbirds, lambs, Corn and wheat etc. Fantastic Andy is on his par, awesome safe and humane shooting.
Lets thank the BBC for giving muppets like him a platform. Our licence money pays for these morons. I am not that bothered about the shooting restrictions but, I loath the usual ' we know best so you will do this ' attitude of our establishments.
Packham knows exactly what he has accomplished. If you thought his goal was wildlife ir habitat, you were sadly mistaken. Anyone can tell he wanted support to limit shooting and he could not gain that support by being honest.
Great videos lads, only just found you, lots of great viewing ahead.. love the sport great to see these videos full of tips and reviews... keep up the good work
That will be the BASC ( Looking after your Sport, looking after You) website ? Yup they`ve done a stand up job with the Open Licence debacle ! £80 down the tubes again.
They like the rest of the so called ' shooting protection ' orgs just go along with whatever the big brother hands down to us. They are as useful as a spare D..K in an O..Y.
I use a red wolf for hft and I'm after a rifle for shooting squirrels of my feeder as I'm now skint lol I'm looking for a rifle that isn't going to further brake my bank lol again what's the walther varmint like? For what I've seen it looks very good?
It was interesting how, during the Tory Leadership battle, Michael Gove managed to sort out the GL issues. Anyone would think he was trying to sweeten potential voters! 🤣
Great resolution and editing, as usual! Thank you. Your countries sound as though they are blundering about with your game laws for nuisances...we see emotion and greed for income from license fees trump logic and game science all the time, here.
learn how to use your scope and you will know, but really its not hard to zero a scope. first you decide on your distance you want to zero at then take a shot at a target. let's say your high and right so you will adjust the cross hairs up and right then take a shot. see where your at then adjust again, when you think your on target aim at a set point and shoot 5 shots at the same spot . then adjust to the center of that grouping. being able to zero quickly will come with practice but you really want to zero accurately and if it takes time then take your time
You can not currently shoot magpies in England unless you apply for an individual licence. Please check BASC website for full details. All the best. Mat
As explained at the start, this video was filmed before the general licences were revoked, although it is currently possible to apply for a licence to kill pest birds. All the best. Mat
theshootingshow Matt, how long would it take to get permission on the license or is it dated to when you apply, many thanks if you have the time to answer.
Hi Guy. As explained at the start, this video was filmed before the general licences were revoked, although it is currently possible to apply for a licence to kill pest birds. All the best. Mat
oh my God. You're dressing all up in camouflage and crap and I did this type of shooting back in the days of the 1970s and 80s and I never wore camouflage and walked around whispering. But I shot many pigeons in the day. And that was with a pump action gun that cost less than $30.
I don't like the look of them either. They are also a good way of getting away with not supplying a decent wood stock for the rifle but still charging a high price. You might as well take your gun out of the stock, stick a piece of plastic to rear of the action, call it a BP and save yourself £1600.00+ .
Another good video, lucky camera placement at 10:16 as the squirrel rained down too! R

Absolutely Stephen - well said. The impact to shooters is tiny compared with the impact to the countryside and people's livelihoods.

This guy has the most British sounding accent I have ever heard
Matt was you at the Northern shooting show
What fill pressure do you use for the Rm8?
Future of your hunting: I went out hunting today and shot five aluminum cans, and three plastic water bottles, after hours of stalking!
next we will have to get permission to shot paper so cans and bottles was a good day
It was interesting how, during the Tory Leadership battle, Michael Gove managed to sort out the GL issues. Anyone would think he was trying to sweeten potential voters! 🤣
I'd have had a good old doshing of that wild garlic where the Jackdaw fell
the general license fiasco is just England isn't it , does it affect wales and Scotland ?
Just England for now.
Test the crosman quest 2019. cal 177
What is happening with the outlawing of shooting squirrels and pigeons?
Squirrel shooting is not affected. The general licences are for control of pest birds - full details on BASC website.
All the best. Mat
@@theshootingshow They will soon come around to these critters and the rabbits too. Once the ' banning ' bandwagon starts to roll it doesn't stop .
Sup I’m the first if TH-cam is not drunk 😵

Andy,... what happened with you working with squirrel hunter ?
First comment? Also how do you zero in an air rifle quickly?

Man Your Government ! To much Big Brother.
Can I still shoot magpies and rats?
You can not currently shoot magpies in England unless you apply for an individual licence. Please check BASC website for full details.

Thought it was illegal to shoot pigeons and jackdaws now??
As explained at the start, this video was filmed before the general licences were revoked, although it is currently possible to apply for a licence to kill pest birds.

Guess u all will become poachers once the itch sets in proper. what shame
Isn’t that slightly illegal now ?

Bull pub air rifles look horrible 💩
