Wow I got to meet Dewey and Robert at AMERICAN FIDDLE TUNES in PORT TOWNSEND, Washinton. This was right before Dewey went ot Washington D.C. to recieve the AMERICAN HERITAGE AWARD great great honorable men
OWW lieverd, ik ben zo dankbaar dat je deze erop gezet hebt! I'm very, very grateful you put this on youtube! Thanx, with all my hart! From the Netherlands, Fanny. xx
Thanks for posting this tribute. Absolutely love this song - would like to hear other's takes on it. Robert Jardell has the "fingers" and faithfully plays. Is his accordion the same (make and key) as that of Abshire's? Does anyone know if Nathan's instrument is still in existence? It should be enshrined in the Cajun Hall of Music. As well as Dewey Balfa's fiddle and bow. Great job hope to hear more.
What a beautiful tribute. It’s amazing to be able to watch these guys after all this time has passed. Thank you all and of course TH-cam. 😁
Beautiful heartfelt tribute to Nathan Abshire. Qu'il repose
en paix.
This taps the soul. Wonderful.
Nicely done. I felt that...

From my observations, Nathan Abshire would be proud of the Balfas! I certainly love the Balfas! Tony Balfa plays a mean triangle!

Fantastic recording! What is Mr. Robert Jordell's accordion model?
