So beautiful, a lot of detail in the butterfly that you completely nailed. The bokeh background is intimidating maybe because I don’t have those blotters and you also painted the background twice so I worry about turning the background into something muddy with glazing. But it is such an amazing piece of art work and thank you for sharing your details!
Hi Candice. I got my daubers from Michaels craft store: Sponge daubers www.michaels.com/folkart-dauber-set/10046398.html You can also use round stencils to lift the paint once your background dries. Thank you, that is incredible your forest painting too, so many techniques and it all comes together so nicely, 🤩. I’ve also seen people just rub off the paint with a paper towel or cotton ball, but thank you - I will search at a local Michaels. ❤️

Amazing. I'm going to try this, and may be do several using different colours and different background textures. To retain the white on the back wing is it ok to re-apply masking fluid on the highlights?
Yes you can apply masking fluid. I did not use masking fluid for the back wing because it will produce harsh lines. The lighter color is easy to lift with water but if you want a more dramatic effect masking fluid is the way to go 😀and you are so right I was thinking this would be cool in other colors as well!!
