Absolutely true. Orbs float around aimlessly. And don't disappear on a mere focus movement. That "glitch" was indeed floating statically in place and disappeared from time to time from just camera movement. Well, as even Insym himself admitted in one of recent videos (I believe, in one which preceded Prestiging): "Even broken clock is right twice a day!" Imagine how much more pain and misery it would be if the Orbs idea was just dismissed :)
my least favorite part of the apocolypse challenge (and the custom settings in general) is the slowing of the player speed. no sprinting and faster ghost is fine but i think halving the player speed just makes the game unfun at that point and is the reason i dont ever try it.
Honestly, yeah. Half speed and no sprint makes lugging the items in an automatic disqualifier in my book. Could I? Dunno because I'm beyond discouraged from even trying.

I did it the same a few days ago (actually easy): Go for a random cursed possession, full sanity and run in until you get the summoning circle. You can do EVERYTHING in one hunt (except crucifix) (+ obviously no flash light and sprint, the piano is your best friend)
I think the easiest objectives you could go for this are Capture a ghost photo(since you already need it anyway), Repel the ghost with incense and Cleanse the area near the ghost which you can do at the same time when it's hunting while only using one smudge stick.

While I do think that the photo priority has gotten way better in these updates... there are still some photos that make me question what the fuck it was trying to take a photo of at times
Yeah Phasmo has trolled me with the interaction not a ghost photo twice in the last week with the ghost clearly visible and centered in the photo. Super annoying.
Hey Insym, I'm not sure if you have heard their is a Banshee salt test that me and a friend heard from another streamer that works. If you put 3 salt piles in a row and then lose line of sight (not during a hunt) and if it steps in all the salts in a row, its very likely to be a Banshee. So far we tested it twice and got it right. Might be something to test on this patch as it could be a huge no evidence trick.

I got the golden trophy (And subsequently, the solver and bronze) last week. It takes a lot of RNG and skill to accomplish. I got lucky, after 15+ attempts, and figured out it was a demon, with easy Objectives (Ghost photo, paramic, and block a hunt with crucifix). Was only doable cause I have the NVGs
Thanks for the tip to set the evidence to none, I was having some trouble with having no sprint and slower walking speed and no breaker, that makes it so much easier, for me at least
Caught this vid early today, very interesting indeed for the first hunt, before I knew the ghost I thought it would be a demon after it has been hunting rather quickly as you walk in the building to investigate.
that is the first example of how they'll make tier cameras different in future updates, not only being the difference of it taking the picture faster but the fact that the tier will take lower quality photos making it harder for it to count them as 1 star or 3 star
Yeah me and the photo cam have a love hate relationship. It's always the first thing I bring in. Are they going to allow you to delete or replace photos, or is the photo camera going away once we can video record interactions? Any thoughts?
i think there is a bug when you try to take ghost photos during hunts. I wanted to do it in tanglewood, while i was looping the ghost around the kitchen counter, i cleary saw it, in full line of sight, took the photo, thought it was ok and waited for the hunt to finish. You could clearly see the ghost on the picture, right on the other side of the kitchen counter, i wasn't crouched so not a thing about same line of sight as the ghost, it was just a kitchen counter away so basically nothing, and nope. Not even a one star picture.
I think the easiest approach to getting a "reliable" picture in apocalypse... camp out in a room near the ghost room (within 15 meters, which I think is ghost event range?). Put a cruci in the room in case it roams to you, whether it roams by chance or because it's a banshee/phantom/wraith - and also to protect you from if it ghost events in the room you're in and then immediately hunts. If it hunts from the ghost room you'll be fine cause it doesn't know where you are, and if it ghost events you should have an easy ghost picture!
I have the same issue with ghost photos where I basically have to be on top of the ghost to get it, ghost events are near impossile as I need to be so close and it disappears if you get too close..
I'm soooo pissed... I used these settings, with tier 3 gear, got a DEO, and totally owned the silver challenge in less than 10 mins... RECORDED the whole thing... obs captured a static image, but the audio is crystal clear... 😭😭😭😭😭
I guess it was bad to try 15x apocalypse challenge after the update. And to note, I’ve played over 100 games mixed between apocalypse and insanity runs with friends and I have gotten 0 Deogens. X.x
i got this trophy first try like 2 days ago, cheesed the hell out of it lmao. my mode had high ghost event and interaction rate with no doors open so i could just walk around and find the room with ease, had 1 evidence but ended up getting a mimic so i found 2 evidence. run took under 5 mins lmfao
For scientific purpose and for ending holy war between parabolic mic haters and lovers(sounds weird, but anyway) Challenge - no sanity(or silver/gold trophy) asylum run by using only parabolic mic for figuring who ghost is, not actual player ears. My personal opinion, this is just must have item for runs like this, it's saves A LOT of time. Yes, sometimes it's stalking trio(banshee, phantom, wraith), or sometimes just lucky find. And yes, sometimes paramic kills me, because ghost started to hunt behind my back and for some reason lights didn't had enough time to start flicker on grace period 1, but anyway. Usually i find 90% of my ghosts on big map because of this item. I literally point in direction and i don't care about individual rooms. Because from chapple you can hear everything that is happening on kitchen(or some of it) on asylum map, which is huge.
I remember I did my silver with no sprint, no flash light, broken breaker with 1 evidence. Full sanity with 40% pill and sanity monitor so I had more information. It was slow but felt more beginner friendly
so i have a question and it might be a dumb one but im going to ask anyway, Are cursed items in anyway tied to the type of ghosts, IE Ori spawns more often with voodoo doll, or Mimic with mirror. I think its just random but i was curious. I had a demon Three times yesterday and all 3 times it had the Ouija board, and the Yurei seems to spawn with mirror more often. Just curious if this has been tested?

There is that preset, but any settings 10x or above will count for silver (unless you get to 15x, of course, which is gold)- I customised mine to be like 0 evidence but normal player speed and stuff like that to make it better for me personally, so feel free to modify it.

If you go to the custom section, hit the edit button, then at the bottom you should see apocalypse II. Click that setting and everything is pre done for you.

yo insym i just found out you can use tier 3 dots on a ceiling and it works and avoids so many of the blind spots you get on walls tried it on willow garage and it worked so well just in case it works better than opposite walls
I took a picture of a bone literally ontop of it and it didnt count as even a single star bone photo, tried taking 2 more pictures from other angles and nope...

you don't have to lower the player speed if you don't want you can still use any other setting as you like

You have 0 sanity so the only reason it wouldn't hunt immediately would be if the ghost room was the entrance vs a shade

I think the best way is to start timer at SoH then smudge best EoH and run into to the room so you have 1:30 to get an event

I just tried Aplocalypse 3, got 2/3 objectives and ghost photo. Never got an event because of a shade, which was the last objective. fml.

It's because he's prestiged twice so the III is prestige level 3 and then 046 is his current level at prestige level.
The three lines means he prestiged three times.
Insym's card says Prestige 3rd level 46 and your says prestige 1st level 37
