my baby sister took her life on August 31st 2015....... she idolized noah, passionately. This was one of the very important songs that she had left on her phone. His music meant the world to her and inspired her to keep going. She got me hooked. His music means alot to all of us. So so much love.
I can honestly say that Noah has saved my life. I seriously contemplated suicide many time over the past several months. whenever I'm furthest down the rabbit hole I always seem to find myself listening to his words..
Christ the man writes like an old, wise man. Such clarity of thought and somber knowledge. Absolutely stone cold genius. Ever since I heard Family I was hooked. Long may he play.
Just tears right through me. I am so happy real musicians still exist, who have the ability to write songs like this. They are so inspiring to everything we do as well...
I've done a lot of living in a lot of towns and I definitely felt like I'm dying now. I have a year clean now and it was the hardest year of my life. By God's grace I am now at the end of the tunnel and have found the light and it's just going to get brighter from here on out. I just discovered Noah today he's amazing I'm definitely a new fan. music is one of the greatest drugs and the power of healing it holds is potent stuff, thanks Noah! anyone reading this who is in the same boat as I'm in, it does get better! I mean we're here right still alive, think of all our brothers and sisters who are not. God does have a plan for each and everyone of us,talk to him, trust in him, be humble, patient & open minded. everything else will fall in place! God bless...
I love it when a person is willing to lay their feelings out there and let themselves bleed a little. I could be off but I felt a struggle and pain and seriously felt there were times in my life in which that song could completely relate. So this brings me to comments below about talent. You do need talent to get somewhere. However, I have met people who had to work hard and they had so little talent that it was that blood, sweat and tears with years of hard work that earned them an audience. On the other hand I have met people who are bubbling over with talent and they would rather sleep on it. Who wins out in the end if both sides of the spectrum puts forth a sincere fight...the one we like. We like their style, looks, sound and so forth. Really, that is why there are so many different venues of music. So as for Noah Gundersen, I do not care what category he fits in with talent...I like his music and I will keep listening! Yeah, like that!
Sávio Martins You are most welcome. Share that smile with someone that will also pass it along. This world has a shortage of such beautiful things. Bless you now and forever!
my daughter is very sick. trying to get her better. but at night, when she sleeps, daddy listens to this. because i can't help but think what it might be like if she is gone.
@@JustinHaynes123 it never ceases to amaze me that a comment made years ago, still touches people. My daughter just ate a cookie, and has a big smile on her face, and wants to get tickled. When I wrote this comment, I wasnt sure that would ever happen. Thanks guys
First song Ive ever heard from Noah and this lovely lady, and my mind is completely blown. Truth be known, they hit a spot, and i shed a tear. I'm gonna listen again, and be stuck in this moment for a while. Then listen to everything else they have ever released. They just gained a fan, and I'm stoked for my future findings from these guys. 10\10.
witchsabbath13 - That lovely lady is his sister Abby. She is a talent, too! You can buy his stuff on itunes. "Saints & Liars" is one of my all time favs ~ but I've enjoyed everything he's created. VERY TALENTED songwriting, IMHO!
Noah's music is a validation . It reminds me of my desire and renews my heart to knowing that others negativity is irrelevant to who I am and to where I am going. As a person who envisions suicide daily, I can truthfully say that I am also beginning to find my way by equally finding myself again. This music breathes memories down my spine , it lingers on, and although those memories do bring pain, it is this reason in which I choose to better myself.
I discovered Noah's music a couple of months ago, and I have not listened to anything else since. I was lucky enough to see him live about a week ago. I haven't found an artist that has touched my soul like this in a very long time. He is truly gifted and I am so happy that he has shared his gift with us. ❤

LOVE IT, THANKS FOR TURNING ME ON TO THIS KIND OF MUSIC. DEEP, NOT COUNRTY, JUST BEAUTIFUL AND MEANINGFUL. SAW YOU ON CBS THIS MORNING NEWS. HAD TO REALLY CHECK YOU AND ABBY OUT. I AM A FAN NOW!!! IS THIS SONG ON THEW RADIO YET?
To the people say this is talent: I'm not bashing you, but I personally disagree. I agree that the Gundersens have talent, but 90% of this came from hard work. I'm not saying this to discredit the Gundersens. Quite the contrary. They were not born with the ability to create and perform something like this. It took great effort for them to get there. Noah wrote tons of songs, some of them awful no doubt, and slept in cars and on couches to get by while doing his craft in the beginning. This also leads into my quarrel with the overall hype about talent. People do not want to hear that it is always trumped by hard work, even though it's true. It allows them the luxury of downplaying their own potential. Anyways, wonderful stuff from Noah and the gang as always
hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. I believe the gundersens have incredible talent but their talent shows because they work hard. I could work as hard as I want and never be as good as them. this is why only certain people make it and some don't I've seen a lot of people work extremely hard and never make it. I do appreciate the thoughts about how hard they work though I am not arguing with you on that. but this is talent and hard work
i just believe that luck is opportunity and if you work hard you have more opportunity. once you have those opportunities you can allow your talent to show, i could work as hard as i want and be lucky but i don't have the talent to write music like this. his ability to write is his talent. I could be wrong but thats just how i see it.
i believe that anything you do in this life requires hard work. Yes in some cases people get handed success without any effort at all; but for the most part, anything you do requires hard work. I believe Noah and his family/friends are definitely talented, but they did not have this recognition given to them on a silver platter. ANYTHING in life requires work and effort. Whether its working 70 plus hours a week to provide for your family, or practicing every chance you get and getting shitty gigs just so you have more people to hear your music.
+Cody Lakin just because you have talent, doesnt mean you have everything handed to you on a silver platter. It takes EFFORT and hard WORK to have that talent recognized. There are so many people who have great talent, but are never recognized or rewarded for the sole reason of laziness. So yes, everything is earned by luck and hard work
Fuck what's in the chart's, this is real music. Noah is friggin talented as.
