August And Everything After was such a huge part of my teenage experience. I’ve known every lyric since it entered into my ears, heart, and soul in ‘93 and I expect I’ll be able to recite it on my deathbed. It’s one of those songs and albums that immediately transports you back. For me, it sends me back to the best years of my life. The innocent and carefree years of eternal summers. @user-hr1mp1im7w IMHO this "cover " goes way beyond the original version. Noah has taken this song to a whole different level and that's not putting the crows down. Far from it. There are tons of artists who have taken a great song , turned it into their own. Think Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston, and " I will always love you " . Adam and the crows wrote a great song, But Noah, on stage and wringing every bit of his soul in frount of an audience who really not sure what they were hearing and listening to,¹finally showed love and appreciation for the song and the artist. That is why most of the music I download are live versions that are more personal and in the moment. Noah is my new favorite . Check out this man's music. You will not regret it.
I saw the Counting Crows perform this song live in 2003. To this day it is best live version of any song I've ever heard..... this is a close 2nd... bravo sir.
I have loved and related to this song since the album dropped in 1993, and all these years later, after all these years of living, I still have 🎼trouble acting normal when I’m nervous. 🎶
I come back to this every day. I led my best friends funeral in 2017, due to a overwhelm of life that he couldn't overcome. We were 90's kids, graduating in 2000, and listening to this album every day. This "cover" captures the emotions of the song in a way I can't really explain. Watered eyes as I write this, thanks for putting this out into the world. At 4:49, I can hear this from the soul of my friend and it daily reminds me to be present for the ones in front of us. We are a culture so desperate to be known and yet we settle for being seen.
So many men and boys high on white horses with a such long way to fall .. Hemingway nailed it: “The world breaks everyone, and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too, but there will be no special hurry.”
I didn't think a single other human could do this song justice like Adam did, but this. Oh my gosh, sir I don't know who you are but I want to hear so much more now! Beautiful cover and being live makes it even better!!😍🤩
I wouldn't say he made it his own, it's very similar to how Counting Crows perform it live. That said, it is a brilliant cover, never heard of the guy before but he has a great voice.

It never ceases to amaze me how a brilliant artist can cover a song I know/love well and make it shine. This is beautiful and special, Noah Gundersen. Thank you.
Literally the best cover I have ever heard. I have never left a TH-cam comment before. I’m not really into concerts but you are the one artist that I would love to experience their music live. Tears streaming down my face. So intense yet sincere.
I'm a casual fan of Counting Crows and have always enjoyed Round Here, but I never would have thought it would inspire people to become musicians. This performance proved me wrong. Sometimes you have to listen a little closer.
Stunning cover! All in! What a performance! I hope everybody in the room was aware they had been whitnessing something special! This is Counting Crows' poetry!
It's the way I couldnt get through this song the first time I heard it. It's the way Adam penned feelings I've felt into words I'd never been able to express to anyone. Like decades of feeling this same thing with/for/against/because of someone. And here you are making it impossible to listen to it after hundreds, if not thousands of rotations over all of those years. It's stupid how much I love this song. I think it may be my favorite ever. But it's been the most consistent track in music. Its perfect. This cover is perfect. Thank you for taking me way back to that first time. I doubt you'll see this, but man, Noah. Thank you.

@@nancyalguire4289Me too - it truly broke me down. Weeping. Unbelievable cover (emotionally and vocally) to an already masterpiece of a song. I’ve never heard of this guy before but he poured his entire heart and soul into that performance. Fucking brilliant!! 😢😭🎸🤘
@user-hr1mp1im7w IMHO this "cover " goes way beyond the original version. Noah has taken this song to a whole different level and that's not putting the crows down. Far from it. There are tons of artists who have taken a great song , turned it into their own. Think Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston, and " I will always love you "
She says it's only in my head.. she said Shhh I know, it's only in my head 😭
First time I’ve heard of him. He just gained a new fan. Can feel his tears in his vocals. Just awesome and moving.
Unreal 37 years of age an listen to this at least 5 times a day an get a better experience every time i listen. Hats off noah made it your own...
This is one of my favorite songs and I wanted to hate it. Instead I felt like hearing it for the first time all over again. Beautiful
Wow. Amazing performance. Someone needs to get this to Counting Crows.
Adam will find it. He always does
Geeeez thank you TH-cam for suggesting this. Counting Crows have been my favorite band for 25yrs and this was perhaps the best cover I’ve ever heard.
YA’LL SLEPT ON NOAH
I wish! 😂 lol This guy is great.
Man we graduated the same year and I've got a similar story. Bless you and the memory of your buddy 🙏🙏
If you haven't heard it I recommend listening to Noah Gundersen’s song Better Days. The song hits home.
I didn't think a single other human could do this song justice like Adam did, but this. Oh my gosh, sir I don't know who you are but I want to hear so much more now! Beautiful cover and being live makes it even better!!😍🤩
This needs to be put up on spotify
Good point
It is as of last night.
Somehow, this sent me back to "Family" and "Ledges".
This is unbelievably good.
It’s rare that an artist can make a song their own, especially one so iconic. Bravo Noah!
I wouldn't say he made it his own, it's very similar to how Counting Crows perform it live. That said, it is a brilliant cover, never heard of the guy before but he has a great voice.
This is my first ever comment in you tube, I love Countig Crows and I´m speechless, thanks Noah and nice to meet you !
I literally got chills. I can tell this wasn't just a performance. You felt every line to the bone
Counting crows was my soul as a teenager 😭
Hop on my choo choo ill be your engine driver in a bunny suit
Dress me up in pink and white, maybe well be just a little fuzzy bout it later tonight.
Literally have chills. What passion and talent.
I am 67. I used to sing this to my best buddy's daughter when she was a baby. This song means a lot to me. This is the best version.
This caught me off guard and has me sobbing. This song and every version of it has been under my nails for 20 years as I’ve tried to claw my way out of hell. Thank you for doing it justice.
❤
This is a beautifully judged and authentic performance. Full of emotion, intensity, power and vulnerability. Great stuff. Deserves millions of views.
the crowd didn't pay enough respect to this version. I'm only new to Noah but damn, the guy has massive talent. Wish he'd come to Australia.
Goosebumps ❤
This song has always made me cry, and this cover is amazing artist has done it justice !! Bravo!!! Incredible performance!!❤

I wish he'd sing Lightening Crashes by LIVE
Never really appreciated the beauty of this song until I heard this version.
I just had that exact thought..
Watch the OG Counting Crows version. He did it slot on to that.
It isn't often you like the cover more than the original, but this is the version I like most. Well done.
I agree 1000%

NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING!!! I LOVE THE COUNTING CROWS, BUT THIS GUY...MAN, IT'S MAGICAL...HONESTLY BRILLIANT!
I’m jealous of this crowd because its probably their first time hearing this song ever and my first time live was 2004. To relive that moment again would be a great dream.
As a die hard Crows fan, this is the best cover of this song I have ever heard
"...oh babe we're all tired of something...round here" *chills*
I didn’t even get this song until I heard you sing it. 🙏🏼
That is my thought
It never ceases to amaze me how a brilliant artist can cover a song I know/love well and make it shine. This is beautiful and special, Noah Gundersen. Thank you.
I'm in love so I identified
Round Here... Wherever You Are...
Literally the best cover I have ever heard. I have never left a TH-cam comment before. I’m not really into concerts but you are the one artist that I would love to experience their music live. Tears streaming down my face. So intense yet sincere.
SpecFuckingTacular!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a casual fan of Counting Crows and have always enjoyed Round Here, but I never would have thought it would inspire people to become musicians. This performance proved me wrong. Sometimes you have to listen a little closer.
This is a masterpiece! Saw him perform this live in Portland last fall, and it was mesmerizing. Noah is so gifted. ❤
Had me at the first line. Wow. Id love to hear this released for streaming. Something about your voice cuts to my soul.
I like how this is true to the live versions of Counting Crows performances! You can tell he is a true fan!
Awesome....amazing brought me to tears...
Stunning cover! All in! What a performance! I hope everybody in the room was aware they had been whitnessing something special! This is Counting Crows' poetry!
Noah - you are a gift to this world. Thank you
It's the way I couldnt get through this song the first time I heard it. Thank you.
Thank you for this comment. It so eloquently summed up the way I feel about this song and why I’ve held it so dear my entire life.
Love this .What a flawless performance. He put his heart and soul in to it .
Man. I can’t believe I’m crying like this to a song I forgot I knew by an artist I’ve never heard. This is for the books. I want to cover this cover, he’s so inspirational!! I’ve been feeling like jumping but I know we’re all tired of something….round here….
If you’ve never heard of him, you should totally check out his other stuff. He is an amazing singer-songwriter, on of my favorites of the past ten years or so.
As a young mother, I loved this song. My son was so sick that I was so sleep deprived that I never got to bed before 2 am. This song made me feel less lonely.
Wow. This is one of the most powerful performances I've ever seen. Incredible.
Absolutely phenomenal...this song hits so hard. Thank you Noah...you have made my week. You're such an incredible talent❤
This makes me almost pay the TH-cam premium so i can play without needing my phone open constantly. If this could be on Spotify/Apple Music that wold be great :D
Could just use TH-cam Red...
You could always use a video to MP3 converter and save the song on your phone too 🤷♀️
Just be careful so you don't get a virus lol
Lucky you…check the streaming platforms 😏
Goodness, the feels are simply overwhelming. Wow. This performance adds so much gravitas to the lyrics. This is the epitome of a cover song.
This is my favourite song. It has been since I was a child, and it means the world to me. I hadn’t heard of Noah before the algorithm brought this to me. And now I’m a new Noah Gundersen fan. Absolutely incredible performance.
Me too ! I love him his band and his sweet sister
Love what you did on the bridge. Hope Adam sees this!
This is the song that introduced me to Noah's music and i have not stopped listening since.
Me too. All his songs. His early music is absolutely beautiful.
Wow. Never heard of this artist... I am in awe & tears! Stunning vicals/ performance!
❤️🫶❤️ Same!
I immediately subscribed. So refreshing!!!!
Noah, your performance of this song is outstanding. I am a 70 year old English pensioner and I was moved to tears. I have recommended it to the few people I have contact with. Andy, Woking, UK.
Absolutely stunning ,from a 55 year old Irish man….
