Noah Gundersen - Full Session Recorded Live - Paste Studios - New York, NY More Noah Gundersen: www.pastemagaz... Audio: Bob Mallory Video: Brad Wagner
Those that know of him though… Sad news, my brother, there are thousands of talented songwriters like Noah out there playing to the bar staff. You’ll never know many of their names, but if you’re lucky, you’ll get to hear their songs one day.
So today I've been blessed with the discovery of Phoebe Bridgers(and then everyone in Boygenius which I am still getting into), then Noah Gunderson.... I may never recover and I don't think I want to.
Been a fan since "Caroline" that's 10 plus years. Watched Noah grow like a "Garden" through "David", "Fire" and "Honest Songs". Cried through "Separator", "Family" and "Day Is Gone" Then "Ledges" but..this new EP "The Sound" is my favorite. Can't get enough! This guy has got me through many rough times, he's underated as a songwriter and a musician. That's how i really feel..
I love the new and the old, man keep it up and try not to hate that the old stuff is out it’s been very cool watching you grow as a songwriter and performer over the years!!
How are you for real!? Goosebumps. It's a tragic irony that you are not seriously BIG TIME, but the Enneagram 4 in me is grateful we have this treasure to ourselves for a while.
i'm super late to the Noah Gunderson party, I know, but super talented and great thoughtful lyrics. funny, but at first I totally saw Zlatan holding a guitar lol
Wow! I love this so much!! And I understand feeling so completely, disconnected from who you are in the start of a journey. That's exactly how I feel about my life journey and choices and who I was immediately after hs. But I've learned everything happens for a reason. Try not to hate who you were in the beginning or what you made then. It has a purpose, and had a purpose when you made it. Even if your heart wasn't in those original songs, they touched people.
Nothing ever comes like it did when you were in it Just a memory of a kid, just a washed out finish Just a pain-in-the-ass Johnny Cash middle finger No shooting up drugs, no quitter is a winner Nothing ever comes like it did when you were in it Keeping nothing for yourself like a stone cold killer Now you're passing your people like a ship in the night Looking to every stranger for a fight Nothing ever comes, ever comes if you call it Choking like a dog, like a dog on a collar Open up your mouth, your mouth if you want it Listen for the sound, the sound, the sound is coming down Hoping that you like, that you like how you're living Relying on the kindness of strangers that you will be forgiven How many times, how many times will you shit on what you're given? How many times, how many times 'til you shut up and listen?
How can someone like him be so underrated? Tell me ..
@js59695 true statement right there.
Beats me 🤷🏼♀️
I know who he is ! I have some of his music on my channel, anyone who plays an acoustic should know this guy !
Those that know of him though…

Big wish

That is a heavy hitting grotto of musicians to discover all at once. All amazing. Enjoy.
God damn that sounds like a great freaking day :)

Same reaction, lol 😋
MY thoughts exactly. The song speaks for itself :)
I thought the same lmao "so, tell us About the song." (Starts playing) Lmao
So stupidly obsessed with this man. 😩🖤
Hoping more than anything Noah and Phoebe will do more collaboration songs together like Killer + The Sound.. It is by far one of the best there is
You can always count on Noah for good lyrics

I am mesmerised by how beautiful this person is, as well as the music, but god damn he's gorgeous.
That moment when it's not really your kind of music but you stay cuz the guys badass... beautiful voice
Amazing voice, lovely man❤
I love the new and the old, man keep it up and try not to hate that the old stuff is out it’s been very cool watching you grow as a songwriter and performer over the years!!

Noah, you're terrific.
Um dia eu vou conhecer o Noah e dar um abraço nele! A musica desse cara me fez olhar a vida com outros olhos!
How are you for real!? Goosebumps. It's a tragic irony that you are not seriously BIG TIME, but the Enneagram 4 in me is grateful we have this treasure to ourselves for a while.
I would LOVE an album of every live studio sesh that's been recorded. Incredible.
So awesome ❤
Love this era of Noah. First album I ever listened to by him, reminded me heavily of Ryan Adam's "Rock N Roll" with the just sense of rawness.
It's been a few years since I listened to Noah. His voice continues to improve. I can tell he's been working on it. I like the versatility.
Incredible talent - music peeps PAY attention ..
God his voice sooo good
he's so passionate. I can't wait to see him with lemolo on thursday!!
Love love love. Let’s go, Abby
Love your music!

You’re smarter than you think. Give yourself some grace.
i'm super late to the Noah Gunderson party, I know, but super talented and great thoughtful lyrics. funny, but at first I totally saw Zlatan holding a guitar lol

Very very talented person. Diserves more recognition in this world where Gucci gang shouldn't even exist.
i like both. shoot me you pretentious fucks❤️
❤
The placement of the ads on this video seemed so disrespectful to the music
Wow! I love this so much!!

Wow
„Oh this acoustic version of the sound is rly nice :)“
1:33 „HOLY SHIT“
I cannot understand why this dude is not the most famous artist in the world... I know it's about marketing... But still..
Abby is so adorable!
Sam fender definitely took some inspiration from The Sound
Oh jeeze Jonny got a smart phone.
Chad Neu I do have a smartphone!
That guitar though.
The Strat or the J45?
♥♥♥♥♥♥
Nothing ever comes like it did when you were in it
Just a memory of a kid, just a washed out finish
Just a pain-in-the-ass Johnny Cash middle finger
No shooting up drugs, no quitter is a winner
Nothing ever comes like it did when you were in it
Keeping nothing for yourself like a stone cold killer
Now you're passing your people like a ship in the night
Looking to every stranger for a fight
Nothing ever comes, ever comes if you call it
Choking like a dog, like a dog on a collar
Open up your mouth, your mouth if you want it
Listen for the sound, the sound, the sound is coming down
Hoping that you like, that you like how you're living
Relying on the kindness of strangers that you will be forgiven
How many times, how many times will you shit on what you're given?
How many times, how many times 'til you shut up and listen?
Who was your inspiration?
The way a Taylor Swift ad came on after the snake conversation lol
He’s got a real Ryan Adams vibe to his voice
Real late to the party here, but what vocal control. And the tone of that guitar....
Dude can sing alright .
Weird that they mention his and Taylor Swift’s use of snake symbolism and now they both have songs called Lover
best next thing.. calling it
lol Noah Gundersen has been at it for well over ten years. He doesnt want to get pulled into the much of the maintstream music industry
Crackalackin 🧨🧨🧨
Min: 12:59
Can you feel it too?
Isn’t it funny how we know we don’t deserve to be loved. I leave that up to Jesus.
I can't believe they got Kylo Ren to play!
And that bone structure though 😮
Abby and Noah... join the top!
funny to watch musicians converse while they're trying to adjust all their various stuff....
I cannot get the strumming down for this song lmao
The sound^^
it's tricky bc he drops beats in the verse, so when you're expecting it to be a bar of four, he drops the fourth beat and starts the next measure.
Melissa Goldstein idk what that means but yeah lol
Melissa Goldstein I think he also does that in the chorus
It's a 7/8 time signature. A little unorthodox, but not enough to prevent an amazingly rocking song. ;-)
people don't appreciate real talent anymore.
you are different to everyone
This week in skinny negan ripping off NPR's Tiny Desk
Is that Gibson a J-45
Or a southern jumbo? I know he plays J-45s but that pickguard looks like a Southern Jumbo
