This is the most socal thing you can do. Having a $200k vehicle in the driveway of your townhome that was built 59 years ago and is worth over a million dollars.
@@BigDuckk Fair point, not "full" Karen, but making remarks about what other people do with their *rented* car, in front of their own home is kinda Karen-ish
@@AlphaOmegaXIII Yeah I think this went over your head. As someone who lived in California, it's well known that people will have older houses with smaller garages yet insanely expensive cars. Nothing whatsoever Karen about what he said, you clearly misunderstood.
When I lived in the Virginia / DC area, I saw this car for the first time, and when I returned home from work I called the company to inquire about this vehicle. About a week later, I received the brochure all about this gorgeous sedan. I fell in love and wanted to buy it right then and there. Then I called to get the price for the sedan that had the bells and whistles I wanted. They even offered to drop it off so I could drive it around for the weekend. They had no idea that I was in my late 20s (at the time) and could not afford it. I guess I should have taken them up on their offer to let me have it for the weekend to test out.
I'm sure if you said yes they would have run a credit report to see if you're even almost able to buy it. Aint no one dropping off a 250,000 dollar car to a 400 FICO
I was iffy on homeboy up until that moment. Purchases so snobbish was hilarious. But the audacity to slide in i bought a tennis racket and the whole scene pauses and you could tell oh this is a real relationship and he does not get chauffeured by his loving wife regularly was chefs kiss
Probably the closest thing to a palace on wheels. I learned a lot from this video about the features, performance, and comfort of this ultra-luxury sedan. The narrator did a great job of demonstrating the daily tasks and challenges of owning such a vehicle, as well as the perks and pleasures of being chauffeured in the back seat. Did you know that the Maybach name has a long and rich history that dates back to 1909, when Wilhelm Maybach founded his own company after working as a chief engineer for Daimler? He designed and built some of the most sophisticated and elegant cars of his time, as well as engines for zeppelins and airplanes. His son, Karl Maybach, continued his legacy and produced luxury cars until 1940, when the company switched to making engines for tanks and submarines during World War II. After the war, the Maybach brand was revived by Daimler-Benz in 1997, and merged with Mercedes-Benz in 2015. Another interesting thing to note is that the Maybach S680 is not the most expensive or exclusive model in the Maybach lineup. That honor goes to the Maybach S650 Pullman, which is a limousine version of the S-Class that costs over $2 million and has a 6.5-meter length, a 4-meter wheelbase, and a partition wall between the driver and the passengers. The Pullman is the preferred choice of royalty, heads of state, and celebrities who want the ultimate in privacy and luxury. I wonder how the narrator would feel if he had to live with the Pullman instead of the S680. Maybe he would need a bigger driveway, a smaller ego, and a more generous budget. Or maybe he would just enjoy the extra legroom, the champagne flutes, and the digital rearview mirror. Either way, I’m sure he would have a lot of fun making videos about it.
First Video i am watching from you. I think this is the perfection of car reviews. I don't watch car videos often but that's the first time i see something like that. One of the strangest days of my life, I summoned Uber Comfort and ended up with basically what’s seen here, in my case a 2019 model, taking me to work for $15 plus tip. I exited that vehicle with regret.
I've been a huge fan of the S63 AMG for a while. But if I'm not driving, the Maybach is preferred. C-class is dinky. E-class is okay, but not large enough for me. S-class is perfect.

I love supercars but if you are really a baller, you have to have an ultra luxury sedan like the Maybach in your collection. The Chauffeured section was hilarious!
To each there own, but supercars don't start at $95,000. Supercars are nearly unreachable for most. That is the concept of it being a SUPERcar. It is top of the pack. Nothing finer. Anyone with a job can walk into a dealership and get approved for up to $120,000, if they were at the same job for 5+ years and show steady income. Supercars: Porsche 911, AMG S63, Ferrari Portofino, etc. Cars that can do 0-60 in less than 3.2 seconds and START AT $180,000 and go up.
The Maybach isn't a great driver's car. Make no mistake, it is not bad...just not as good as a regular S-Class sedan. It is smooth. It is powerful. It is not as nimble mainly because of the long wheelbase. Of course, that makes it much better for: The Maybach is much better to be driven in...to sit in the back and relax while someone else drives. As a result, I haven't put many miles on my Maybach (only about 1000 miles over the last couple years...and 400 miles of that was bringing the car home from the dealership). I basically only use the Maybach when I hire a driver for special occasions. My dealership called me last year to show me the limited edition S680 Haute Voiture. The main difference is trim...a ~$240k option worth of special trim (MSRP close to $500k). Oh, and nice work on the jigsaw puzzle Costco shopping. The trunk is small with the fridge. I was rather disappointed one day that I couldn't fit a (NY Pizza & Pints) 24" pizza in the trunk. I had to actually hold the pizza while sitting in the rear seat. Ugh...that is so pedestrian...so NOT "luxury". At least we weren't far from home. The guards at the gate to the community, though, probably got a chuckle out of that.
MBUSA delivered the S580 to me for a week and it was incredible drive experience! Not quite comparable to the S680 but close. Definitely the best luxury Mercedes sedan second to the Maybach. Love this review!
