    hi there, great insight. out of curiosity, how much was the boat transfer from male airport? cheers mate.

    • @tommywills
      @tommywills  ปีที่แล้ว

      We booked through Tui so not sure what exactly we paid for the transfer as it was included in the package price.
      On the resort website though it’s saying it’s $420 for 2 ways. Sea plane is $768 2 ways ✌🏼

    Hi, great vlog thanks. We are headed there for 8 nights next month. Question please, how long was the boat transfer and any reason why you chose this over the seaplane? Thanks

    • @tommywills
      @tommywills  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi thanks for watching!
      Boat transfer was about 90 minutes. Next time we will definitely choose the seaplane. It’s a lot more money but you don’t get the risk of sea sickness and choppy waters. On our return to the airport, everyone apart from myself (luckily) had sea sickness, and the boat had to stop a few times to allow for high waves to pass. It certainly was a stressful end to an amazing holiday 😂

      Thanks Tommy for the reply. Seaplane it is!! Did you have to take your own snorkelling gear?

    I'm thinking of going to this resort in January. Is there much nightly entertainment? What activities did they have in the day? Virgin Atlantic are flying direct from Heathrow. You are right though, it's very expensive compared to my holiday to Jamaica next month

    • @tommywills
      @tommywills  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi mate. In terms of night entertainment, they have a night club in the middle of the over water bungalow area. Then at the pool bar theres live music every night. It is very quiet though as the rooms are so well equipped people would spend most of their time in there! But it’s good as its less busy and you feel like its your own private island at times.
      It is hands down the best place i have ever been. If you have the money, book it. You won’t be disappointed. Staff are amazing, food is amazing, rooms are amazing, you can’t ask for much more.
      I would recommend paying extra for plane transfer though. Boat ride was 90 minutes and was awful 🤢

      @@tommywills Hi Tommy, thanks so much for the info. I might look at a plane transfer as I sailed from St Lucia to Martinique once (it took 2 hours) and I was puking all the way it was so rough. I am going alone to the Maldives so need somewhere with a lovely atmosphere. Not sure if this would be too quiet for me. I am also looking at a Mald resort called Syam which looks more lovely. Thanks, Debs x

    Amazing vlog. How much did you pay for the candle light dinner? Also if you have an allergy to prawns will they serve an alternative? Also how many days would you recommend to stay here without feeling bored or having nothing else to do? 4 or 5 nights? Also did you experience the beach villa as well just to get a experience of both worlds? One last thing any idea how this resort compares to centara ras fushi island resort? Am confused between these two.

    • @tommywills
      @tommywills  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m not sure on price for the candle light dinner. I think it was around £150ish.
      Not sure again on allergies, but the service was amazing and accommodating so i’m sure theres an alternative.
      I would say 4 or 5 nights is not enough. I would recommend 7-10 nights. There is some good excursions to do and the beauty of the island is that you can stop and do nothing.
      Get some sea shoes as the water contains some sharp rocks. Snorkelling is a daily activity and you always find something new!
      I didn’t do the beach villa. Personally the over water bungalow was the best choice as you get your own decking. The villa other people will use the beach outside, so less privacy.
      No idea about other resorts sorry, however i spoke to an older couple out there who visit Maldives regularly and they said that Velifushi was by far the best they had visited.
      Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy Velifushi! 🏝️

      @@tommywills thank you for your kind and detailed reply. Is it necessary to buy a sea shoes or do they have snorkeling equipments to rent it for a day? And sure overwater villa does get our own deck but when we get into the water below the other people staying in water villas also can see us and can get into the same water right? Also can we go to mafushi and do the water activities as the rates at the resort are really exorbitant any idea if they arrange any ferry to the public island so that we can do a day tour get an idea of the actual maldives and their culture and also do all the water activities at a very affordable price?

      @@hariujwal5234 take sea shoes with you as the shop only sells kids sizes (that may have changed though).
      Take your own snorkels.
      I mean yea they would, but it is the same as the beach villa.. the over water bungalow you get way more privacy.
      Not sure about the rest of your questions, it is best to email them and they will tell you everything you need to know 👌🏼
