I was looking for this comment!! Okay I’m wondering- was it playing in her head, then she told them the song and they edited it in?? It was hilarious I can just imagine her standing in the salon silently dancing in the mirror. Then they’re like- what song was that? Lol
I just LOVE that TH-cam allows us to closely observe and celebrate the beauty of Black hair! Each video breaks down the stereotypes of 'an acceptable beauty standard' and allows us to behold MAJESTY. I'm here for all of it. ❤️👍🏽🇹🇹
Girl...I have high porosity 4C hair, I've just had to accept wash & gos aren't apart of my ministry. This video just confirmed it for me cuz she's a bomb hairstylist, but i know my hair lol. As soon as my hair dries all that definition dissapears no matter what products were on it cuz my hair aint tryna hear all that it wants a "wash and stay wet" 😂
girl me too. i swear my hair is more picky than i am when it comes to food. my hair just dont wash and go.....it will get dryer than death valley. if it aint a good moisturizer my hair dont want it.
EXACTLY Im a high porosity 4c too. my hair looks like a Jerry curl after I put a whole jar of gel on it, but as soon as it dries it goes bye bye. I thought I was the only one. Plus it looks ugly thin and cripsy with little definition left. I remember I put a whole jar of gel in my head wasted about an hour or 2 then I dried it, and I looked at my hair in the mirror, I was like oh heck nah. I had no body, no thickness, no moisture, my hair look like it died. I washed that wash n go our of my hair so fast.
Girl don't be afraid of that gel! Lol! I like how she's walking you through it. Shows that she really cares and isn't just doing this for the money. Not everyone would share their techniques and secrets.
Yes because I visited a hair dresser in New York, well known I might add and she was rude, disrespectful and I asked about hair care and she gave me nothing. She said she didn’t know she would have to do my hair on a regular basis. I will never go to her again. $180 for a wash n go. Btw it looks terrible.
Yo I just went to the NJ salon!!!! Tameeka and her staff turned my hair out! If they keep doing God’s work they definitely have a permanent customer ❤️
stefanie buissereth she did do the consultation and trimming of the hair while her staff did the washing of the hair and cleaning. They are very accommodating and Tameeka answered any question I had pertaining to my hair.
Princess Hernandez it is $175 for a trim which is expected because it is natural hair. Tameeka told me that I would not need to do another trim for 6 months which does not completely break the bank. But for other it may vary. Look at the website they have other options too
Find something that will weigh down those 4c floating tresses. I use a lot of gel and castor oil. Then I re-wet my hair and add more product, if necessary. It weighs down my hair and defines my 4c curls like crazy. It's all about weighing down those tresses. Weigh them down!!!
GIRL YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It it so refreshing to see women going to the salon...some of these vloggers try to convince us that going to the salon isn't necessary.
Dalena David I like Naturally Philo too. She also speaks a lot about products. Don't get me wrong, technique is important, but it wasn't until I found the right products that wash and gos worked for me. Porosity is square one. It will dictate which products to use.
I haven't had a stylist cut my natural hair ever and I probably never will unless I had her cut my hair she is the best curly guru and she's so informative, I love it
Thank you so much! The Curl Whisperer worked her magic on my hair back in September. It has been very frustrating that I could not duplicate what she did. I truly appreciate these tips. I probably enlist my husband to do my hair. It is amazing how challenging it is to do it yourself.
Lol I did my first successful wash n go yesterday! My problems were I didn't use enough gel and I didn't put it on my entire strands. 🤦🏿♀️ Idk what made me think to only apply gel to my ends and not the roots. 😂 But I did it right for once and most definitely will continue.
You can't expect your hair coming out like a 3c or something if your hair 4c than it's gonna come out 4c again just more define I feel like people do the wash and go so it can look looser and it also it depends on the heath on your hair just putting it out there cause people expects there hair to come out loose and flowy and no strinkage I like how your wash and go turned out tho
This was probably the most informative video I've seen on how to get good results on a wash-n-go for this hair type. This is going to help me with my daughters' heads a lot. Love it...thanks!
Love your hair, as your hair grows down your back it is going to become awesome. Not that the style is not awesome. QUEEN, TAKE YOUR TIME, YOU HAVE IT BEAUTIFUL.
Beautiful results! Thanks for these salon visit videos. Can you do an update video telling us how long the style lasted and how was your detangling section afterwards?
You are one of the most Beautiful people I have ever seen plus...girl you are so funny🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for the entertainment and advice 😊 Stay Blessed Always 🙏
Yur hair looks great! I have the same hair texture. I have a tip for you to do it yourself without all the fuss. First, the products you use make a huge difference. The products this stylist uses leave too much moisture on your hair before adding the gel so it doesn’t define your curls well. 4c hair is super curly. Step 1: Wash your hair as usual, deep condition with a steam cap, not hair dryer. Detangle your hair really well while the conditioner is in. Rinse and moisturize lightly with a butter. Oil your scalp lightly as you section your hair into at least 16 parts, more if you like. Be sure to put in the part you now so you are not moving your hair after it is styled. Step 2: get a spray bottle ready with just water. Gather your clips and a wide toothed comb. Final magic, eco gel...the one in the black container works best for me. Start just above the root of your hair and work your way to the tips, add more gel to the tips to ensure it is well moisturized. Do not add all the gel at once, so you don’t have build up on your scalp. Use your wide tooth comb to separate the strands and release. Coil your ends if you see frizz. If not in a rush, let it air dry for best results. Super important to let your hair air dry at least half way before using a diffuser attachment to finish it off if you’re in a rush. Do not touch your hair with the dryer. Do not touch hair or lay flat until it is dry. Sleep in a satin cap and this could last up to two weeks or more.
I feel like “wash and go” is such a misnomer! It make the process sound like it’s all easy and fast. It’s not. Even for 3c hair. It take TIME. Not just the time it takes every week to make it happen. It took me 20 solid YEARS to figure out which products and order would work for my hair. Please cut yourselves some slack if you’re feeling like you’re “failing” at the wash and go. You are not failing! Feeling like that is just unfair to yourself. I do the wash and go because, well, when I went natural I didn’t have anyone to look up to... But also because it is faster for me than a twist out. And I like how it looks. Trust me, if it were not for that, I wouldn’t bother. Also, Gel. Gel, gel, gel.
Mr. Magoo Consider what it was like 20 years ago when I started out. There was no TH-cam. There were NO PRODUCTS designed for natural hair on the market. Even Carol’s Daughter, which was just a small shop in Brooklyn at the time, didn’t have ONE styling product for natural hair. There were NO role models. I was on my own, even living in New York City! Hair stylists didn’t know what to do with my hair, besides give me a texturizer or insist I get a straw set. How would you do with nothing but Paul Mitchell and scorn to help you through?? So as products came out, I tried them. All of them. And my hair looked great. But figuring out my perfect wash & go? Yeah, that took 20 years. I was at the forefront of the natural hair movement. You’re fucking welcome.
Hair Mary has a great video about mistakes people make when doing their wash and gos. She has a looser texture but I honestly feel her tips apply to everyone.
WOW just beautiful, I am from old school. We did not have the know how to do natural hair the way it was done in this video. I am amazed and so proud of my KINKS.
So...My sister told me about the massaging the product into the hair thing that she learned from this video. Complete hair transformation. I have been dealing with hair that always feels dry, and that method alone has totally smoothed my hair and it actually stays moisturized. I had to come back to the source for more tips! Thank you for posting this!!
Lavida Loves Curls Despite the negativity, I appreciate your attempts to explain what is needed for hydrated hair. I would love the simplicity of wearing wngs, but I have never been able to master them. I have dense, highly-porous, fine strands with small coils. So videos like this one are of interest to me. IMHO, those who don't ever want to wear a wng, fine. Just go view other videos of other styles instead of taking up space wasting the time of people who may actually want to learn this technique.
Definitely going to try this method this weekend. I’ve been meaning to try a wash and go in my hair for the longest so this is perfect timing Chizi 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 oh and your hair looked great 👍🏾
Chizi Duru you make my day! I do not wear my hair natural, and I do not wear makeup. I enjoy your videos and your bubbly personality. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures and your Nigerian flair.
Child please. Try the original Maximum Hydration Method. I used to think I could not do Wash and Go. I told everybody it wasn't for me until I did the original MHM. I also got rid of a bunch of hair products. Please note that some of the most toxic products are used in hair products designed for African American hair. I now used more natural stuff, including clays and such. I still used the Kinky Curly Detangler and Gel. They are not cheap, but then I am also not buying all that other garbage that was breaking my hair and wouldn't allow it to grow. I am also using ayurvedic herbs and oils. The amount of breakage I experience now it minimal. In my picture you can see the length of my hair a little after I started the MHM. After 1 year, the hairs you can see in the front are to my lips, unstretched and in twist.
It’s cute !! and I find that natural hair can actually be very classy that’s the vibe I get from this look on your hair and I don’t understand why people are complaining about natural hair in the work place because if it looks like this must be envy
4c embrace it, and let it do its thing. I met a sister that only comb it once a week when she washed and moisturized! My God was her hair beautiful. She made big braids at night made an oil spritz for the day and was rocking it with confidence! The hair was growing more and more beautiful everyday!
I do acv rinse then apply leave in conditioner spray, creme leave in and whipped Shea butter. I twist my individual strands afterwards for super definition
I love it thanks for the class because I could never get my was and go to work I was five years natural but I cut it off and I’m starting over again it’s only been five months for me but I love your channel doll
I'd love to see Tameka do a twist out, idk I'm not into that wash and go life. My 4a 4b high porosity strands laugh in the face of curl definition. Laugh.
Your not doing something right then... more water, more moisture, more product, actually tugging stretchinh on your hair while you style it.... I used to try and scrunch products into my 4b/4c hair then style and ended up with a matted mess... now I stretch each soaking wet section, work the products in while still stretching, and detangle and style while STILL stretching my hair (ie. What they show you but dont tell you) and my wash and goes are amazing now.... I actually learned by looking at a men's tutorial..... I didn't know all that tugging on their hair and shaking their hair was necessary until then, I thought they were just being extra af
Oh I remember her from another TH-camr video! Curl whisperer lol 😂 she's talented. And I like how she teaching and educating the customer (and us viewers!)
This was so informative! If I didn't HATE the feeling of a lot of product in my hair I would do this but I think I'll accept it isn't for me at the moment.
I feel like Chizi has a lot of hesitancy, my curl pattern is looser, but there is this general feeling of beating your hair up and going to town. You're not ripping your hair out, it's detangled, it's more about going for it, getting an even coat, and doing it in an efficient way so you don't cause more frizz.
I have a 4c grade hair too. When I do a wash and go...….. It's more of a wash and FRO! It is what it is! You can't change your hair texture without chemicals......… just embrace the texture you have if you want to rock it natural!
Omg I have a little bit of a wave to my hair. My hair is just in between straight and wavy and I can never really do anything with it cause it’ll just be frizzy. Your hair looked bomb! It was soooo pretty!!
best wash and go my 4c hair ever had was from using blue magic hair grease and eco styler olive oil gel..curls were so defined and it actulally lasted for more than 3 days.lol...lasted about a week and the following week i wore a high curly puff..so many compliments..lol
NOTIFICATION GANG WYA?!

What Katy Should Have Done: You are preaching the gospel. Can the church say amen because my 4c hair hates wash and go!
My 4c hair is the opposite of porus , it barely absorbs water and when I put oil in it, it just seems to sit on top of my hair? Help someone?!
Miss Tia incorporate heat, heat while deep conditioning, warming products in the microwave just heat. No flatirons tho we don't want heat damage
Kudos to the person that helps you film these salon visits 👏👏
Girl don't be afraid of that gel! Lol! I like how she's walking you through it. Shows that she really cares and isn't just doing this for the money. Not everyone would share their techniques and secrets.

Glad you had a great experience!
Alyssa Smith did temeeka do your hair or her staff...would like to try her Manhattan space
stefanie buissereth she did do the consultation and trimming of the hair while her staff did the washing of the hair and cleaning. They are very accommodating and Tameeka answered any question I had pertaining to my hair.
Alyssa Smith how much was it? I just moved to NJ! From NY
Princess Hernandez it is $175 for a trim which is expected because it is natural hair. Tameeka told me that I would not need to do another trim for 6 months which does not completely break the bank. But for other it may vary. Look at the website they have other options too

P Reese this is nothing but truth! That's how i achieve my wash n go's
Which gel ??
P Reese zee
And all this time I've run away from castor oil! Wow!!! So excited to try this. Thanks for the share.
What is the best gel? Im 4c also
Yaaaaaaas. But wash and go's should be called wash sit and go.
franko columbo real life!
this is honestly one of the best wash n gos i have ever seen for 4c hair. i gotta keep trying with these wash n gos cause i struggle so much with it
Sis has really been blessing me lately with these back to back uploads like.
Omg your curl pattern is lovely ! Beautiful wash and go 👍🏾
Thank you!
I’m a licensed cosmetologist in California 26years. You do amazing work you have a great touch & a gift. Much love & respect. 😊🙏🏻❤️
Tameka is too good with hair frfr
GIRL YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It it so refreshing to see women going to the salon...some of these vloggers try to convince us that going to the salon isn't necessary.
Beautiful results! I can't wait until my hair gets this long. I love big hair!
I remember the lady from Naturally Philo video.. I like her techniques.. So much im interested enough to try a wash and go
Dalena David I about to say that 😂😂😍
Try on a little section of your hair to practice the technique of a wash and go
Dalena David I like Naturally Philo too. She also speaks a lot about products. Don't get me wrong, technique is important, but it wasn't until I found the right products that wash and gos worked for me. Porosity is square one. It will dictate which products to use.
SO HAPPY. I loved your last visit with her. And I’ve learned so much through one video and I’m excited to hear what this one will be about
I love watching her do hair. She does it with the greatest of ease. Wish I was near. Still practicing her technique. TFS. 👌🏾
I haven't had a stylist cut my natural hair ever and I probably never will unless I had her cut my hair she is the best curly guru and she's so informative, I love it
This definitely inspires me to wear my natural hair. Simply gorgeous
Great job. She is amazing your hair looks so beautiful and so are you!

Love your hair, as your hair grows down your back it is going to become awesome. Not that the style is not awesome. QUEEN, TAKE YOUR TIME, YOU HAVE IT BEAUTIFUL.

@Camille Wowwww! Thanks for sharing that!

Beautiful, it came out amazing imo. I don't have the patience or length to try it on my hair atm but one day I might. Thanks for this video!

Despite the negativity, I appreciate your attempts to explain what is needed for hydrated hair.
I've only recently started following but after several of your videos, I love your awesome personality. Keep up the amazing work!
Omgggg she is a BOMB stylist! Your hair is popping!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
Definitely going to try this method this weekend. I’ve been meaning to try a wash and go in my hair for the longest so this is perfect timing Chizi 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 oh and your hair looked great 👍🏾
The girl getting her hair done seems like a really fun person love her personality great smile lol she made me smile
I would love to do wash and go’s just so I don’t have to manipulate my hair so much but...the way my hair type is set up, it’s a no lol!
Chizi Duru you make my day! I do not wear my hair natural, and I do not wear makeup. I enjoy your videos and your bubbly personality. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures and your Nigerian flair.
This video is so helpful! The result was beautiful and girl that "Every Woman" part xD♡♡♡
Chizi! You are so ful of happiness! I love it!
It’s cute !! and I find that natural hair can actually be very classy that’s the vibe I get from this look on your hair and I don’t understand why people are complaining about natural hair in the work place because if it looks like this must be envy
Looks great! Love Tameka she’s great at getting those curls poppin!
Love it! Definitely going to try this technique, I always thought my 4c hair couldn't do wash n gos
4c embrace it, and let it do its thing. I met a sister that only comb it once a week when she washed and moisturized! My God was her hair beautiful. She made big braids at night made an oil spritz for the day and was rocking it with confidence! The hair was growing more and more beautiful everyday!
It looks better than the first time you went. Well done!
I go to Tameeka too! I need to go back soon! Looks great!
I do acv rinse then apply leave in conditioner spray, creme leave in and whipped Shea butter. I twist my individual strands afterwards for super definition
💚 Your hair turned out amazing
Honie, you are in heaven when you are there. I love that place for you. So happy you are.
Wow she is amazing! They really catered to your hair needs
Yesssss to this fro 💙💙💙
Lovely Genise l
That I'm every woman song break was hilarious. Love your personality.
I love how generous she is with the product I would definitely go to her every weekend if I lived there
Wow. The evolution of the wash and go. Back in the day I used to wash, add moisturiser and literally go
Went there on Tuesday! Going back for the New Year's Eve! Tameka is amazing!
Thank you for this video! Finally someone’s hair that looks like mine. I can really learn here 👍🏽
Love that you did a follow up .
I never do a wash and go! I know she's the bomb with showing how to do it. I need to learn. I'm horrible at doing them
The definition is wildddddddd!!!! You look beautiful!
Thank you so much for this video. Been trying wash and go for Aeons, but no joy. I feel now like I can do it.
I sure hope you got it cause your hair is adorable!

😩😂😂😂...that song at the end...that’s exactly how I feel every time I leave the hair salon...I’ve never gotten a wash and go...I’ve got to try this
I love it thanks for the class because I could never get my was and go to work I was five years natural but I cut it off and I’m starting over again it’s only been five months for me but I love your channel doll
Wow! I now see why she’s the curl whisperer! 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
8:15 You look amazing: the earrings, hair, top, make-up!
Try racking through your hair with a denman brush then finger comb. Workings for me!
Omg 😍😍 while they were drying ur hair....I said I looooove her results (again).....then when Whitney came thru honey!!!! 😍😍
I feel like Chizi has a lot of hesitancy, my curl pattern is looser, but there is this general feeling of beating your hair up and going to town. Chizi the cheerleader. Rofl 🤣 that intro had me in stitches.
Thank you for breaking down the technic so very helpful.
She has "magic hands" 😍😍😍😍. I have to get to her Salon!!!
"Lol I'm scalped" I'm so happy I found your channel because we have the same hair texture n now I can learn how to a wash n go on my hair
Love the dance break & expression at 8:03 ...lol. That's something I would do. lol.
Natural 3A here, but the techniques are almost the same.

When I have a headache or migraine, one of the best things that helps is having a really good scalp massage..
OMG I love your vibe Chizi you’re so funny😂🙈 and the wash and go looked so great!I’ll try it too☺️

best wash and go my 4c hair ever had was from using blue magic hair grease and eco styler olive oil gel..curls were so defined and it actulally lasted for more than 3 days.lol...lasted about a week and the following week i wore a high curly puff..so many compliments..lol
