Arenal Volcano La Fortuna, Alajuela, Costa Rica

The breathtaking views surrounding Arenal are a must see when visiting this region of Costa Rica. The drive from the Gulf of Papagayo is long, but very scenic; the excursion is worth the costs. We were fortunate to take a boat ride on Lake Arenal, before heading into the Arenal National Park for a canopy hike through the rainforest. We finished the excursion with a dip in the natural hot springs and a nice dinner with the most spectacular view of Arenal. If you get a chance, mark this at the top of your to-do list in Costa Rica!
