    You are amazing! I was planning to build my own ESPHome solution until I stumbled across your channel. This is far beyond the quality of what I would have made. Thanks! Side Note - any time I visit your website I have to turn off my firewall because otherwise it blocks your site for attempting to connect to my PC on a strange port. I dont run into this with other sites. You may want to look into that...

    Can you please make a separate tutorial of the lcd screen software? I find it very useful that you're sharing your knowledge to make everyone independent from the big companies. By building things our own, we can maintain it and repair it for a lifetime. So your time and investment in your TH-cam is a true blessing.

      As for a separate video about Nextion displays - SURE! There haven't been any questions about it before, but since it's come up, I'll add that topic to my "to do" list.

      Thanks, Erwin! I'm glad that the video turned out to be valuable for you! :) I'm from Poland, so we have a similar climate, and I'm also gearing up for summer. I can tell you in secret that I'm currently making a DIY Rain Gauge video that will be a fantastic addition to the Sprinkler Controller :)
      As for the "smart irrigation" integration, I haven't used it yet. It becomes useful when it has information about the amount of rainfall. However, the information I tried to get from the internet often didn't match reality. That's why I built the Rain Gauge myself.

    • @SmartSolutionsForHome
      @SmartSolutionsForHome  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you asking in general or specifically in this example? If you're asking in general, then yes, definitely. And in this specific PCB, the footprint for ESP8266 is already prepared, so unfortunately ESP32 won't fit.

    Czy planujesz taki sterownik z 8 kanałami ? Bede miał 7 sekcji i kurcze braknie mi na jedną sekcję ? Czy w ogóle jest szansa zakupu od Ciebie ?

    • @SmartSolutionsForHome
      @SmartSolutionsForHome  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hej, niestety nie planuje póki co robić nowej wersji, ale.. To że masz 7 sekcji/elektrozaworów, nie oznacza, że koniecznie musisz mieć 7 niezależnych kanałów do sterowania. Dużo zależy od Twojego konkretnego przypadku, ale założe się, że możesz podłączyć równolegle dwie sekcje, które i tak zawsze będziesz razem odpalał. Jedynym przeciwskazaniem mogłaby być słaba wydajność źródła wody. Ale nie spodziewam się, żebyś w każdej sekcji miał po 10 spryskiwaczy :) Na mojej stronie jest kalkulator online, który pomoże Ci w prosty sposób określić tą wydajność, następnie zobacz w specyfikacji wybranych spryskiwaczy ile tej wody tak naprawdę potrzebują. I zobacz czy po połączeniu 2 sekcji nie przekroczysz max. liczby spryskiwaczy. Odezwij się do mnie na maila, jeśli będę umiał to z chęcią pomogę. I think you made a great job on the electronic field but in my opinion to much errors in the sprinkler positioning. To much uncovered space , some very easy to fix with just a better positionig and some extra sprinklers You should always start from the corners making the sprinkler area overlap. Also I didn't see if you did right but the tubing should always have a circular closed cirxuit if not the first sprinkler will receive full pressure but the last could be weak and even not be enable to rise enough. Also when you count how many sprinkler for area you should leave some space considering about 10/15 safety range Maybe you system will works but if someone will follow your step projecting tubing setup and sprinkler placement could be not have the same success Thank you for sharing and congrats.

      Thank you very much for this comment. Constructive criticism is always welcome on my channel :) You sound like you know what you're saying so I don't plan on arguing, well.. maybe just a little :)
      Before I started talking about pipes and sprinklers, I made a disclaimer, that I'm not a specialist in this field. In case I did something not quite the way a professional would do.
      And I'm aware that additional sprinklers would allow me to cover a larger area. But I was on a tight budget. And I don't think it was possible to get a better result with this amount of sprinklers. But I could be wrong, of course.
      What is a "circular closed circuit" ?
      Thank you again for this comment! :)

    • @claustrox
      @claustrox 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SmartSolutionsForHome I am not a specialist too , my knowledge come after I studied a lot for realize my own irrigation system. I 'll tri to explain what i mean with closed circuit. Excuse me but English isn't my first language. Let's consider a tube coming from the water source and closed at the end. Then you put sprinkler along the way. What will happen is that the first sprinkler, the one near the water source, will have a lot more pressure than the one at end. So you'll have different water radius more and more you 'll go farther away from the water source. For avoid this problem usually the sprinkler system are distributed along a circle , the tube start from the water source and end at the water source ,like a donut. In this way pressure and water availability will be the same for all the sprinkler installed along the tube. Anyway great job I wouldn't be able to make such electronic device by myself as you did.
