    I have been adding a chunk of charcoal to my water propagations and it keeps the water clear! :)

      How often you change the water with the charcoal in ?

    • @gerri-red-bird
      @gerri-red-bird 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EliezaBaby Not very often, lol. I know I should, but lots of times I just top off the water. I've never had algae or anything nasty in the water since I started doing it.

    • @ThePlantsMeow
      @ThePlantsMeow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I never change my water either 😂 I notice if you remove the dried cataphylls and any debris off the plants then the water usually doesn’t get too murky 👌🏼✨

    Glad to know you're okay. I appreciate this video and l totally agree about not going overboard with humidity. Growing up in the Philippines where a many aroids and orchids originated from, typical humidity is around 60% (not considering rainy season). I apply the same 50-60% humidity with my orchids and aroids indoors especially during winter and they are thriving

    Yay New vlog and its propagation. I love 💘 it ... Sorry about your jar . Hope your okay 👌. Omg I love that scissor your using . Where did you buy and which scissor is that ? And for Pon do you 1st rinse it before use in propagation? And once planted how do you water your propagation pon in containers ?

    • @ThePlantsMeow
      @ThePlantsMeow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those scissors are the best!! I bought a 2 pack on Amazon for $10. They are seriously perfect 👌🏼
      amzn.to/3qggILH
      I always rinse my pon. If I put my propagations in pon I usually put it in a plastic nursery pot with drainage holes. I just rinse it thoroughly after I pot the plant that way I don’t have to rinse twice. After that I water once a week like I normally would soil. Very easy 😊

    Hi. My sygoniam albino is also getting lot of whit leaves, so my question is. Did yours with just white just white leaves survive? cos mine with just whit leaves have died in the past , I thought they could not photosynthesis, so could not live, if cut away from plant with green parts

    Hi! I was wondering if you could explain why it’s important to leave cuttings to callus over before putting them in whatever prop medium. Should we do this for any type of plant in general?

    • @ThePlantsMeow
      @ThePlantsMeow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you create an open wound on a plant it is susceptible to bacteria, which can cause issues with rot. Since it is so vulnerable it is just better to wait for it to callus. For smaller stem plants it is not essential but for plants like monstera it is an absolute must since they are prone to rot. I technically didn’t even need to let my syngonium callus over but I always think it’s better safe than sorry ☺️💚
