    My set up is similar. Minus the heat mat and I add a couple of chunks of activated charcoal. It really helps with keeping the water clean and prevents rot.

    I’m sure people cut them up into single pieces to maximize profit when selling. Your method is perfect and I agree with it completely!

    I love how you can teach this old gal new tricks...leave the plants out of the water and only root the aerial roots...ingenious! When I have tried to add rooting powder to water its been cloudy. I think I will try your brand. Thanks for this content. I am glad that you are you!

    Good point about the aerial roots. The outer layer is called Velamin which absorbs moisture in the air and benefits the development of soil roots.

    Lots of great info. I learned that younger smaller stems root faster also. I found, if you have your cutting in a small container, in my case a mason jar, on top of a heat mat will cause your stem to rot. Not enough water an gets to hot. This was with Thai constellation not Albos. Hope to have an Albo someday. 😃 Excellent info💚

    Great video. What would you recommend for a top cutting with no roots yet? I thought I was getting some rot so I cut my stem. Do i need to let it callous over b4 placing in water. I liked your suggestion about finding the right reservoir to prevent your stem from being submerged. I just don’t have any roots yet.

    • @rmarvel169

      Hi, so what ended up happening with your cutting? I have a Thai constellation 1 leaf and the aerial root it had when I got it was no good so I trimmed it but have only an inch left. I've had it rooting in perlite and moss since 12-10 and all I see ONE tiny place where something is coming through but that's it

    Great video!! I really appreciate you sharing what you’ve learned in your experience. I’ve got a question about how long you leave your grow lights on for? I’ve got my cutting on 12 hrs a day right now, but thinking I should bump it up to 16 or 18 hrs to help it along. It doesn’t get much natural light.

    • @MSUMaryMo
      @MSUMaryMo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not the OP, but I leave mine on for 16 hrs a day. I’m curious to see what the OP does also. I’ve noticed a LOT of my root growth happens at night when lights are out. Really fascinating how fast they can grow overnight.

    Hi nice information - video, u use very nice products, and good info how to DIY.,
    My question : do you have a video, or gona make, I have searched in your video Playlist, to 1 specific video, how to step by step, and from preparing your, sterilize box, use your rapid grow, test PH and water condition, of your cuttings, and in wich dosage you told, only how to do, for example to show?...
    Maybe i have not good searched about your videos? Please tell me wich one, I have to chose about it? Or don't you really have one? It could be.. Please confirm thank you,
