We feel honoured that you are so moved by Scottish scenery and Scottish music. I do hope that one day you'll cross 'the Pond' and see Scotland in person - though I'd recommend Sutherland or Wester Ross nowadays for a real feel of the Highlands!
Great reaction! Every single wedding and big social occasion in Scotland ends with everyone dancing to Runrig's (very different) version of this song. Since I live on bonnie the banks of Loch Lomond it feels extra special every time. There's some really amazing Celtic music, both Scottish and Irish.
You’re unlikely to see this comment now but this reminds me of two beautiful weeks with my friends. We walked and wild camped about 160 miles from the east coast of Scotland across to the west- just three 19 year old lads walking, talking, sitting by fires, staring at the stars and drinking whiskey. We slept by the lochs and in the forests and had the time of our lives. On our final day, our friend’s dad joined us to climb Ben Nevis. The next morning we started our ~500 mile journey back south and, as we drove along the banks of Loch Lomond, I stared across the water as my mates slept next to me thinking about those two weeks. I’ll never forget those two weeks. Thank you Scotland 💙
