This may have been the best DYI video of any kind I’ve ever seen. I had my iPad in the footwell and did the full install in about 45 minutes. Getting the wires out was the bitch; my thumb is still sore from pushing on the Allen key! Great video and so far a great product. Thanks!

Maybe. I am assuming you didn't do it the first time. Maybe the person before you did something wrong and just gave up. You can double check on how it is wired to be sure.
My 1998 C5 started with the Security light coming on while driving and sometimes wouldn't start. So a shop referred me to an Auto Electric shop. They told me I needed a module bypass. So had that done and they had my car a week. Got it back, my Security light didn't come on for the drive from the shop home. Went to drive it shortly after and it shut off backing out of my driveway. For the first time I had the Pull Key, Wait 10 secs. message. I called the shop and they said they've never had a module fail. But told me to bring it back and they'd replace it. So they had my car another week and said they replaced their module. Got my car back, still the same issues and the Security light still comes on after I start the car or if not, usually after a short drive. After all these issues, I was scared to trust the electrical shop a third time. So I've just been dealing with it for years. And couldn't trust it to be my daily driver any longer. Thoughts of selling her too many times to count! Last year I seen video's about the LMC5 mod. So of course I bought it, thinking I finally have a fix. I decided to try to install the LMC5 myself. When I got my BCM out, I seen the LMC5 had already been installed!🤔 So I watched more video's and seen that some 1997 and 1998's had to have the brown wire done also. But still no fix for mine, because the brown wire is already done as well. So here I am many many years later with all these same issue's. I'm thinking there is no fix for the small % of C5's that refuse to accept the LMC5 mod 😥
The LMC5 mod didn't work on my 1998 C5 even with the brown wire. So I called complaints parts and spoke to a Richard. He is very knowledgeable about C5's. He said just because the LMC5 didn't work on mine doesn't mean that it's faulty. He gave me a homework assignment to do and then call him back. I can't tell you all the steps he told me to do. But I started taking notes that Richard told me to do, but family things came up and I had to postpone. So I've misplaced his notes. But I'm planning to call him back real soon. In hopes that he still works there so I can get his instructions again.
This was the most detailed install I could find, Thanks alot!!!!
Not too tough of a job. Thanks for watching.

Those wires are weird. If you get it just right they pop out easy, otherwise they are struggle. Hard to hit the sweet spot. Thanks for watching.
Best lmc5 install video on TH-cam. Thank you for the detailed information. It just helped me with my lmc5 install on my Corvette.
I'm just about to do this. Thanks for such a good instructional video.
By far the best video explaining what to do
Thanks!
This video may be old, but following your instructions, this worked perfectly for my '03 zo6! Thank you, sir. 👍
Glad it worked out.
Awesome video. Waisted zero time. Very clear. Super good quality. Thanks for sharing.

Me alegro que te haya ayudado. Gracias por suscribirte.
OMG was this a good step by step.... I was a little worried about messing with wires but after this It went so smoothly
Glad it worked for you. Not a bad job to do.
Outstanding video. You have natural instructors skill.
Thanks. I love making these Corvette videos, pretty limited audience. Not as many people work on their own cars like they used to.
Great video, I’m now confident I can do this! Thank you!
Great video! I see a lot of people on forums mention the "brown wire" mod. I noticed you didn't mention this or do it. Is it no longer necessary?
No “brown wire” mod? When is this necessary?
Lmc5 has been installed on my car in past and still have the message ,,any recomendation ,, do i have to buy new lmc5?

@@C3Stingray wired has been right and thanks for answer 🫱🏻🫲🏼

Great commentator very specific thank you for your help
I installed mine and made it worse. Now, the car does move faster than 3 mph. Any suggestions?
What was the car doing before you installed it? It is easy to remove and put back to the way it was before. Sounds like you are having other issues.
