Thanks very much for this! Worked for me just as you said. Makes me wonder how long it’s been sat there waiting to install and I’ve not known. Keep the videos coming, they’re very much appreciated 👍🏻
@@enyaq_gorm I’m glad you did coz I’d have never worked out that illogical way to download it. Car is all updated now though although I can’t say as I’ve noticed any differences 😂
That is very useful. I have also been awaiting this update. I checked using this video as a guide but still not offering an update and so still on 3.2. This give me somewhere else to keep an eye out on.
We had a problem last week with the Skoda server being down, The Skoda dealer was telling me I HAD to have Octopus app, I HAD to have hotspot enabled, I HAD to update my phone, I HAD to update the charger, and there was an update showing on their computer. Nothing on mine! but after my trip to Yorkshire the server came back on and it told me there was an update, its as you switch off. I better check to see if its downloaded OK, I said OK 6 hours ago and forgot.
If anyone is reading this, don't forget to check your off-car (charger or intelligent octopus) based charge scheduling after the update. The ME3.7 update can break it and if you dont test it, you'll have a nasty surprise when you try to schedule a charge.
@ I wasn’t in my enyaq. I had made a delivery up at the Valeneva factory by Oakbank. My car is sadly still in the body shop. They have given me a Vw multi van in the short term. Thanks for the link.
This is probably the most annoying thing about “legacy” EVs they were not designed with OTA updates fully in mind. I will have to take a look at mine and see whether they have sent me the update!
It may or may not be there yet, they're doing the cars in waves. My tesla used to do updates every coupe of weeks but they were always fixes and they frequently broke things on the car.
Unfortunately, that did not work for me, top of the list - Charge Immediately to 80% I have to confess, waiting for this 3.7 upgrade has been a depressing experience. I am fed up of 40 minute charges when plugged in to a charger capable of 350KW and I am charging at 30KWH, that's if I am lucky
@@enyaq_gorm Unfortunately, not a cold battery, that has been my experience since I have had the car, 22 months :( I did once, with a Grid Serve charger see 27KW. It is due it's first service/inspection next month so I am going to ask why the 3.7 upgrade has not been an option for this car. I was really looking forward to getting the Enyaq, but with such low charging values, and an average 50 minute charge (20% to 80%-90%, I doubt I will get another :(
@choppsie that's not normal. Either you're doing it wrong or that car is faulty. What temperature is the battery (you say it's not cold so you've obviously measured it) and how full is it? (all batteries are slower to charge if they're relatively full). To get over 100 kW you need to be below 15% and the battery needs to be at 23 degrees. But even with a cold battery I can get over 50 kW
@@enyaq_gorm Not sure how I can be doing it wrong, it's not like I can put the plug in upside down? I typically charge around 20%, sometimes a little lower and only if on long journeys will I charge to above 80% Battery temperature various temperatures, I have a very basic model, so no heat pump or software that can "warm" the battery. Marshall's have had the car in and say nothing wrong with it, one service manager actually said it's just they way these cars are, some charge quicker than others (Sigh!). They tried charging it and managed a pretty reasonable 31KW and felt that was good enough
@@choppsie no that is not at all normal, I would escalate that, it is not how these cars are. Are you on Facebook? Skoda run a group called EV lounge with Skoda staff on there. If you join you coud raise an issue there. But 31 kW is not a pretty reasonable rate for a DC rapid charger. The heat pump just makes it more efficient to keep the cabin warm it doesn't affect the charging. If you look at my channel you will see that charging over 100 kW is possible if you have the battery warm and the state of charge low and that is on an older model. I would escalate your case because that behaviour you are seeing is absolutely not normal. If need be go to a different dealer. But get it looked at. That sort of charge rate is what you would expect at say 90% not lower.

You can also check in the app what software version you're on. It's in Car Details.
absolutely, but it wasn't my car plus I was using my phone to film it

Hi dom I think I was behind you in Livingston at the weekend coming along the a71. And what is the phone holder you have?

Nothing on my 3.2 yet. I live in a poor signal area so worried about bricking the car anyway if download is interrupted.

That sounds more like a cold battery that's too full rather than old software. I was able to get 100 kW when in software 2.4 and then 3.0
