TP had an incredibly unique voice that few can imitate, he sang more like Janis Joplin or Kurt Cobain than like a country singer, it's a technique not many can do. He had a very low speaking voice so that shows he knew some little trick to get to those notes, people dont realize how high Tom was singing on many of his songs, normal male vocalists would have to sing in falsetto to hit some of the notes. I wish someone had asked TP to explain his vocal technique and how he does it.
