Why do sellers pay buyers closing cost

I live in CT. No one pays buyers closing costs. Period. Not in this market anyway.

These are some pretty cool tips, man. My Wife & I purchased our first home in the Fall of '16 and we did just that; seller paid $5k(and change) in closing costs.
