How to Change Default App to Open a File Type in Windows 11

Most file types in Windows 11 have a default app associated with them to open a file. When you double click a file it will automatically open with the default app associated with it. There are multiple ways to change file associations in Windows 11.
1. Change default app from settings app
2. Change default app by file type in settings
3. Change default app by link type in settings app
4. Change default app using the "open with" context menu
5. Change the default app using file properties
6. Reset all default apps in settings app

the python IDLE is not installed in the program files folder, i tried copy and pasting the "pythonw.exe" path to explorer and it denies it

How to change .exe files
By mistake I have enabled exe file in regedit and i'am not able to disable exe due to this none of the apps are opening in Microsoft store

6/14/23: Microsoft changed things around to keep us on our toes. After clicking "Settings", click the "hamburger" icon in the upper left corner (of course, right?). and THEN you can see the "Apps" section you need. I'm tired of arbitrary BS like this, and it will be SO nice when Microsoft incorporates GPT-4+ into its OS so that instead of wasting your time with nonsense like this you can simply say, for example, "Make Acrobat my default app for opening PDFs", and it will be done.
