It is unfortunate that the gentleman glossed over one of the most important capabilities of the device, that is its ability to connect to an external antenna. This is one of the greatest assets of the device. It allows those of us with vacation homes in rural areas and campers to plug in an antenna to reach distant and hard to reach cell towers.

People I've had this for a few months now. Do not hesitate to get this service, Before he leases them all out. I'm a new customer. What sold me was the customer service. These folks literally answer their telephone, call you back and are very responsive. Contrast that with most of the other resellers who you can only contact via "live chat". The quality and speed of the data is pretty remarkable. The connection seems to be high priority (as opposed to low priority AT&T pre-paid) and I have seen no throttling and have not found it necessary to use my vpn. I used something like 5Gb the first day and was able to stream 2160p60 HDR (10-bit) with no buffering. Unbelievable. I'm about 1500 feet from an AT&T 4G LTE tower. I see 30-40 Mbps using speedtest.net and I have not purchased an antenna yet. I bought my Netgear Nighthawk MR1100 hotspot from Best Buy but Unlimited sells the same device for about $50 cheaper and if you buy it from them it comes with the sim card and is all setup and ready. I cancelled my cable broadband account, turned my phone data plan down to minimum and am rocking unlimited data. Happy happy happy.

The Netgear nighthawk m1 device is nearly $100 more expensive on your website than anywhere else. I don't understand the high monthly cost for service. I'm seeing providers like Visible with no hotspot data cap or contract costing WAY less.
That is because visible is a Phone company only. They do not sell service for dedicated hotspots like we do. You are comparing apples to oranges and that is why you were seeing the drastic difference. Also, visible‘s hotspot speeds are capped restricting what kind of tasks you can do online. The hotspot data speed of our service has no restrictions.

WOW, I live in rural mississippi, have been having att dsl for over 15 years. fastest speed i ever got was 5.5....on a 6mps line. got this att package yesterday, it literally only took 30 minutes to set up, connect it to my home linksys wifi, and i'm up and running. i'm getting download speeds between 20 and 30mps, and upload speeds between 18 and 25. this think is fantastic. even though i get good att cell coverage in my home, i ordered some antennas from amazon that will be in tomorrow to see if that will increase the speed at all. i'll keep you posted. i can't say enough about this product.

We live in rural area and our internet is horrible. We can see towers near us my granddaughter uses at&t and we use metro pcs. We don’t like Verizon but would be happy to use at&t . If we see towers will this work for us? I like that there is no contracts. If you can give us any advice it would be much appreciated. We are using a company called Watch Communications. They told us we needed to cut our trees to get a better connection.Also my husband wants to make sure he can watch Amazon movies with this

I would recommend them to a damn cemetery if they needed internet .... Been on the blue plan for over a year now and have never been throttled. We typically use about a terabyte of data a month with no issues. I have duel antennas pointing at the cell tower 2.5 miles away (no line of sight) and my speeds are outstanding

I own a Wilson 4G connect booster system, and it is great. I went from dropped calls, no G and static to 4G, crystal clear calls and I get 20 gigs download (I use Verizon right now). I have both At&t and verizon available here. Which one would have better speeds and am I able to add an external antenna to these routers since I'm only getting like 2 bars or use a different router that allows adding an external antenna. I've been using the AT&T unlimited thru another reseller for about a year and was able to get unlimited, unthrottled speeds but got an email they were selling off my account to AT&T this month and to keep it is have to pay a $200 fee to them and would be transferred to AT&T where I'd then own my account outright. Now it appears I'd be limited to 1tb of data and if I went over I'd be deleted and unable to re-authorize. Is that a danger here?

When you say this is for rural internet Im not understanding the hows and whys! My story.... I do live in an area that is more or less considered a DEAD ZONE! For the past 2 weeks I've been on the phone with several providers and had a couple of techs come and do signal tests. This is my results.... We live 2 miles North of Van, Tx we do have a few internet providers everyone of them are saying that we'd need atleast a 60ft tower antenna bcs we have alot of trees on our property! I am not at all about to drop $2000 for a stupid tower antenna! If I had the funds to do so yeqh I might consider it! So I came up with an alternative, I did plan on purchasing a 50ft telescoping pole and modifying an old antique satellite dish pole to accommodate the new pole. The problem then was these companies wont install their equipment on a telescoping pole over 50ft. On a tower antenna they will install upto 80ft. So after being pissed off about the whole thing I continued my research on a solution. We've been in our house for 16 years and anytime technology comed here we are the very last to recieve it...! We do have a verizon jetpack that feeds our desktop pc, we have our cell phones and each have their own internet. All in which have verizons unlimited data plans. I DONT NEED THE INTERNET FOR THISE ITEMS, I NEED INTERNET FOR MY 3 FIRESTICK DEVISES simply bcs Verizon's hot spot burns up our data plans within 3 to 5 days. We cannot get their fios program, we cant get DSL either, we cannot get AT&T but we do have direct tv. Yesteday I found out that our only option is Viasat but after reading over customer reviews I'M NOT SURE IF I WANT THEIR SERVICES! So after watching a couple of videos on the Night Hawk devise locked or unlocked my question is since I cant get any kind of service then how is this device an option wben I have no option??? All these claims of getting internet through this device says its a good source for rural areas!!! How is that possible? How can you claim that? What I'd also like to know is how can I test this device bcs for my own piece of mind, I would rather have something like this rather than be tied to a company or spend a fortune on an antenna!!!

Ok, if I purchase this devise unlocked Would I be able to connect to any provider say verizon bcs we've had other people that come and visit that have contracts with other providers on their phones that don't get a signal at all here? I'm also a little confused on this devise! Is it an internet reciever/router similar to the verizon jetpack? Would I need an antenna outside my house? Also we are not very electronic savvy, what would be the best recommendation on having somebody install/set it up for us? We have a net genie router but have yet to figure out how to connect it with a way that it wont use our data bcs we've even tried connecting with wifi through it but still no luck! Thanks again!
Kevin Brister This particular device shown in this Video will only work with the AT&T network. It can’t see the bands/frequencies Verizon uses. We have our Verizon device we sell shown on our website. Yes, it is a modem and router built into one.... just like your Verizon jet pack is. You shouldn’t need any external antennas. If your current Verizon jet pack picks up good Verizon signal, ours will too. We always recommend to our customers that they set the hotspot device on a window ledge to maximize best possible reception from their local cell tower. KevinDoesGaming Ping time and speeds can vary by location location. As long as you have a good connection to your local cell tower, you should have decent ping times allowing you to game online.
Might be a dumb question, but does it actually boost your cell service, and with that the LTE as well? My wife and I are about to sell our house, and move in with my parents while we build a house. The only problem is they live in the boonies with no WiFi access (my mom uses her Verizon phone hotspot unlimited for everything). We are using AT&T and our service is not so great where they live (Verizon works great). Trying to understand if we need to try and switch to Verizon and use the Netgear nighthawk or if it should boost our AT&T reception AND give us WiFi (using mainly for TV streaming and work from home capabilities). Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I got this on the 4GX wireless network in australia and i got around 400Mbps love that thing but now that i am not traveling anymore and moved to the US and got google fiber 1000Mbps. with 1ms ping
orange hill racing it's depends on where you are and what tower you are at but they range from 20-80ms for speedtest.net but they may vary if you are doing things such as gaming there for you have to connect to your ISP then game server.

I'm a new customer. What sold me was the customer service. These folks literally answer their telephone, call you back and are very responsive. Contrast that with most of the other resellers who you can only contact via "live chat".
The quality and speed of the data is pretty remarkable. The connection seems to be high priority (as opposed to low priority AT&T pre-paid) and I have seen no throttling and have not found it necessary to use my vpn. I used something like 5Gb the first day and was able to stream 2160p60 HDR (10-bit) with no buffering. Unbelievable. I'm about 1500 feet from an AT&T 4G LTE tower. I see 30-40 Mbps using speedtest.net and I have not purchased an antenna yet.
I bought my Netgear Nighthawk MR1100 hotspot from Best Buy but Unlimited sells the same device for about $50 cheaper and if you buy it from them it comes with the sim card and is all setup and ready. I cancelled my cable broadband account, turned my phone data plan down to minimum and am rocking unlimited data. Happy happy happy.

The Netgear nighthawk m1 device is nearly $100 more expensive on your website than anywhere else. I don't understand the high monthly cost for service. I'm seeing providers like Visible with no hotspot data cap or contract costing WAY less.
That is because visible is a Phone company only. They do not sell service for dedicated hotspots like we do. You are comparing apples to oranges and that is why you were seeing the drastic difference. Also, visible‘s hotspot speeds are capped restricting what kind of tasks you can do online. The hotspot data speed of our service has no restrictions.

WOW, I live in rural mississippi, have been having att dsl for over 15 years. fastest speed i ever got was 5.5....on a 6mps line. got this att package yesterday, it literally only took 30 minutes to set up, connect it to my home linksys wifi, and i'm up and running. i'm getting download speeds between 20 and 30mps, and upload speeds between 18 and 25. this think is fantastic. even though i get good att cell coverage in my home, i ordered some antennas from amazon that will be in tomorrow to see if that will increase the speed at all. i'll keep you posted. i can't say enough about this product.

We live in rural area and our internet is horrible. We can see towers near us my granddaughter uses at&t and we use metro pcs. We don’t like Verizon but would be happy to use at&t . If we see towers will this work for us? I like that there is no contracts. If you can give us any advice it would be much appreciated. We are using a company called Watch Communications. They told us we needed to cut our trees to get a better connection.Also my husband wants to make sure he can watch Amazon movies with this

Been on the blue plan for over a year now and have never been throttled. We typically use about a terabyte of data a month with no issues. I have duel antennas pointing at the cell tower 2.5 miles away (no line of sight) and my speeds are outstanding

Not sure if I got this right though....if I live in a rural area where home internet is not possible then this would be an option BUT only if there is cell phone service in the area since the device would pull the data from there...am I correct? So if I go to the mountains where there is no cell service then this device would not out of the blue give me signal since my providers towers are not giving signal by itself correct?

I own a Wilson 4G connect booster system, and it is great. I went from dropped calls, no G and static to 4G, crystal clear calls and I get 20 gigs download (I use Verizon right now). I've been using the AT&T unlimited thru another reseller for about a year and was able to get unlimited, unthrottled speeds but got an email they were selling off my account to AT&T this month and to keep it is have to pay a $200 fee to them and would be transferred to AT&T where I'd then own my account outright. Now it appears I'd be limited to 1tb of data and if I went over I'd be deleted and unable to re-authorize. Is that a danger here?

My story....
I do live in an area that is more or less considered a DEAD ZONE! For the past 2 weeks I've been on the phone with several providers and had a couple of techs come and do signal tests. This is my results....
We live 2 miles North of Van, Tx we do have a few internet providers everyone of them are saying that we'd need atleast a 60ft tower antenna bcs we have alot of trees on our property! I am not at all about to drop $2000 for a stupid tower antenna! If I had the funds to do so yeqh I might consider it! So I came up with an alternative, I did plan on purchasing a 50ft telescoping pole and modifying an old antique satellite dish pole to accommodate the new pole. The problem then was these companies wont install their equipment on a telescoping pole over 50ft. On a tower antenna they will install upto 80ft. So after being pissed off about the whole thing I continued my research on a solution.
We've been in our house for 16 years and anytime technology comed here we are the very last to recieve it...! We do have a verizon jetpack that feeds our desktop pc, we have our cell phones and each have their own internet. All in which have verizons unlimited data plans. I DONT NEED THE INTERNET FOR THISE ITEMS, I NEED INTERNET FOR MY 3 FIRESTICK DEVISES simply bcs Verizon's hot spot burns up our data plans within 3 to 5 days. We cannot get their fios program, we cant get DSL either, we cannot get AT&T but we do have direct tv. Yesteday I found out that our only option is Viasat but after reading over customer reviews I'M NOT SURE IF I WANT THEIR SERVICES! So after watching a couple of videos on the Night Hawk devise locked or unlocked my question is since I cant get any kind of service then how is this device an option wben I have no option??? All these claims of getting internet through this device says its a good source for rural areas!!! How is that possible? How can you claim that? What I'd also like to know is how can I test this device bcs for my own piece of mind, I would rather have something like this rather than be tied to a company or spend a fortune on an antenna!!!

Our service will work for you because our devices connect to your local cell tower to get high speed internet.... just like your phones and current Verizon jet pack does. The difference in using our service is that you won’t ‘run out’ of high speed data. Our lines of service are on our corporate business account and they are exempt from any type of ‘throttling’ or intentional slow down in speeds by the cell carriers. I just looked for the cell towers closest to me and both are within 2 miles. Ok, if I purchase this devise unlocked Would I be able to connect to any provider say verizon bcs we've had other people that come and visit that have contracts with other providers on their phones that don't get a signal at all here?
I'm also a little confused on this devise! Is it an internet reciever/router similar to the verizon jetpack? Would I need an antenna outside my house? Also we are not very electronic savvy, what would be the best recommendation on having somebody install/set it up for us? We have a net genie router but have yet to figure out how to connect it with a way that it wont use our data bcs we've even tried connecting with wifi through it but still no luck! Thanks again!
Kevin Brister This particular device shown in this Video will only work with the AT&T network. It can’t see the bands/frequencies Verizon uses. We have our Verizon device we sell shown on our website. Yes, it is a modem and router built into one.... just like your Verizon jet pack is. You shouldn’t need any external antennas. If your current Verizon jet pack picks up good Verizon signal, ours will too. We always recommend to our customers that they set the hotspot device on a window ledge to maximize best possible reception from their local cell tower. Might be a dumb question, but does it actually boost your cell service, and with that the LTE as well? My wife and I are about to sell our house, and move in with my parents while we build a house. The only problem is they live in the boonies with no WiFi access (my mom uses her Verizon phone hotspot unlimited for everything). We are using AT&T and our service is not so great where they live (Verizon works great). Trying to understand if we need to try and switch to Verizon and use the Netgear nighthawk or if it should boost our AT&T reception AND give us WiFi (using mainly for TV streaming and work from home capabilities). I got this on the 4GX wireless network in australia and i got around 400Mbps love that thing but now that i am not traveling anymore and moved to the US and got google fiber 1000Mbps. with 1ms ping

orange hill racing it's depends on where you are and what tower you are at but they range from 20-80ms for speedtest.net but they may vary if you are doing things such as gaming there for you have to connect to your ISP then game server.
