Omg Chris, I just got to finish since I had to head to work yesterday. ...INCREDIBLE!!! You two are iron women! Of course it's a beautiful hike, but 7 1/2 hours up with no trail and that scramble to the summit... amazing. And then the hike down... I was praying there was a road and you were going to catch a ride. Can't believe everyone was gone! Just so amazing. What a feat. And after such a grind and adventure, you get the reward of accomplishment and looking back on your victory. And what a treat to meet Graham and his friends on the way down. A well deserved reward. I'm impressed on so many levels. Haven't even mentioned your gear and backpack you carried the whole way. And you turned your footage into such a pleasurable viewing experience for all of us. Thank you Chris, and Julia. You girls rock and are so inspiring! 😍❤❤❤
Wow awesome adventure, nice trail, beautiful scenery and no better way to end it with a stunning sunset! Definitely going on my bucket list You two rock outstanding filming keep those vids coming thanks👍👍!!!!!!
Hey Chris, another great video. Your climb got steeper and steeper, had me on the edge of my seat. Going to have to call Julia "quack", poor girl can only express herself by quacking. Oh ya, 15:10 perfectly timed. Looking forward to so much more. Cheers. 🇨🇦
You ladies rock...literally ;). So happy for you both...that you were able to find each other in this big world; and share these adventures with each other (and with us as well).
Chris and Julia I found your videos by accident while Binge watching "Happy camper videos. Between Chris's video skills and Julia's comedic talent you are amazing and with every video I watch I become more hooked and not in the creepy stalker way . Great Video!!!!
You know there's only -2- you tube channels that I know for a fact that I can honestly hit the like button every time and not even have to watch it, and this is one of them. Wow, talk about a trip! I got tired watching it. Love the videos ladies!
I'm only half way through but have have to say. I 'quacking' love this vid!!! You 2 are maniacs and I love it!! I'm just sitting here smiling and watching. :-). Great stuff!! Luv the music transitions!!!!!!!!!
Wow! I love the adventures you two have. I am in the Adirondacks often. You are both VERY brave and well conditioned. Glad the ending had such a good outcome. Not only are the Adirondacks rugged but after dark not many people are out and about.
Hi Chris & Julia. What an trek through the woods & up the mountain. Beautiful views @ 19 min . Years ago when I lived in California my Dad & I hiked an area for about 6 hrs, did realize it was such a huge loop , thought it would never end, lol. You guys are hardcore going over 11 hrs. I recently got a newer motorcycle & already planning to go to Lake Placid from NJ & ride to the top of Whiteface in the summer of 2018. Thanks for sharing , take care Tom.
The bottom of the slide is reached without any strain or drama if instead of descending into the stream bed, where every falling vegetable or mineral will have accumulated in your path, you follow the brook from above on the bench, that is, on the first bit of flatter ground outside the brook's "gravity well." It's an easy walk and one has frequent views down into the brook below - which means, you'll see the start of the slide from above. Then it's just one short side sloping descent and you're there. Be careful not to be deceived by a false slide to the right.
Very cool climb. I have not done Whiteface yet on my quest for 46 and will use your route. I did not know about this rock slide. It's funny how you are climbing the section that is barricaded with railings from visitors. Well done and thanks for a well made video.
Awesome video. I truly miss the Adirondacks. I grew up in the Utica area and spent a lot of time in the Adirondacks. My girlfriend is from Wisconsin and she was amazed when I took her to Whiteface.
This is soo cool. You guys have gone to an area that I am familiar with. Every year we travel the roads you did to Lake Placid on our way to our canoe tripping sites in the ST. Regis Canoe Area and Whitney and Five Ponds Wilderness Areas. We would see the Whiteface on our way up and thought "some day". As always, great job on the video. I always look forward to receiving the notification that you uploaded another.
Thanks so much Jay! Will definitely check out those places online! Ironically, the same thing sorta happened to us - we visited Lake Placid about a year ago, and looked up at Whiteface and thought "some day" 😊 Can't wait to go back!
Another great video guys. Congratulations on your hike up Whiteface !!! You really challenge yourselves in your videos and then enjoy the victory and the moment. Looking forward to your next video, and the next challenge :-)
Wow,,,u guys have stamina +++ I admit ,several times I was holding my breath and white knuckling 😨😨😨 (lolol).Thankful you're both ok and made it thru without incident...👍👍👍
Love you videos! I spent a lot of time in the mountains before injuries and other health issues sidelined me. Am working very hard to get back into shape so I can do again. You ladies are an inspiration!
This was a great adventure, enjoyed watching every minute of it! I think filming most of the trek with a handheld gimbal makes all the diffrence in the world. Thanks for taking us along! Thumbs up from Sweden
THERE you two are! ;-) It has been a little while since your last video, so I was hoping all was well with you two! WOW! Another epic adventure video! I thought for sure you two were going to spend the night on the mountain, then you started to head down, and I was like "WHAAA???" So glad you made it safely, and got the help of such an awesome and seasoned crew! Looking forward to the next Adventures! Cheers to you, Chris & Julia!
WOW!!! You guys are bad ass! I would have thrown in the towel at the three hour mark. I've always wanted to go with you guys on a trip until this one. You guys were like billy goats climbing for almost eight hours straight. My hat goes off to you two.
Fantastic adventure, I found myself in a similar situation on MT. Washington 25 years ago. This brought back a lot of memories from that trip. Thank you C & J !
Thanks Richard! Wow, I just read a little bit about MT. Washington online - very impressive! I'm a little intrigued now... any tips for climbing it? :)
Most of the ascents can be done in a few hours. The Huntington Ravine and Sphinx trails are personal favorites due to their exposure, technicality and the lack of people. The weather is interesting I've seen snow in July and August. A number of Everest mountaineers have done winter ascents there to train and test gear.
Intense! I may be wrong, but I suspect this might be the video of yours with the most duck quacking. 🤣 What stunning views! Gorgeous!! And my heart is warmed by good humans helping you. 💜
Another Great trip & video Ladies!! Have been missing them!! Gotta love how most trails always seem up hill eh?!😉 But its a Good work out thats for sure!! Take Care!!
Woooow, what an amazing trip, and what a views!!! That cabin is to die for! And Julia "Jazzhands" duck impressions were outstanding too ;). Greetings from Frankfurt, Germany :).
You seem to be a very unhappy person. I am Dutch. I do not have to do anything Or other people! Change your society where you live in Sir. An old saying is: Start by yourself. Thank you for your reaction. Borderline Wild Camping.
First of all, what an awesome sunset it was! I can stare at it for hours! LoL I was little worry about you girls have to walk down from the top when the sky was getting dark. Those gentlemen are incredible kind! Have you told him about getting you two into Marathon because of what he did? Such an unexpected journey which turn out to be one of a kind. In my opinion, this is a perfect example how a little "mistake" turn out to be an unforgettable adventure; if everything goes as plan, it will be little 'boring' may be? Thank you for sharing this trip with us~
I need a Julia! I have been wanting to do something similar. I keep saying for my 50th but I want to drive an exotic car. Fun video as always. Cheers ladies!
Awesome place, and awesome cinematography. Somewhat distracted from appreciating that by a couple of spectacular bums in most shots though! All the best from the UK!
super cool girls; I knew that I was off to a good video with not 1 but 2 road trips. that was pushing the limits, and it was very fortunate that you ran into those men. love it and my assumption is more to come from this road trip
Thanks so much Jim! Yeah, once we got halfway up the slide itself we could see a few people along the railing, so we thought we were golden... though about an hour from the top, things seemed to get pretty quite lol, and we learned an important lesson that day :)
Kicking up the editing another notch, wow! However! 1:28 How do we go from making coffee with a French Press to drinking tea, hmmmm? ;) If you ever do merch, "What I lack in skills I make up in Jazz Hands" would get my vote :D
10:27 Holy quack, that is extreme. If those rocks are wet (high flow, rain or just dew) I REALLY wouldn't want to climb that up (or down). Edit: You say that at 12:00 - maybe I should finish watching before commenting :D Also the "bush whacking" part leading to that bit would probably have been too much for me, no way markers(?), lack of distinguishing features, no line of sight, yikes!
Thanks Yens! Haha, yeah, it was a little crazy at times - sense of scale and distance was really difficult to judge at times in that forest, but we had a blast! :)
What a view! 24:00 Whaaaat? They close the gate? As a landscape photographer, you'd have to pry me off that mountaintop! Love those scenes, love 400mm landscape views and watching the colour and mood change during sunset. I was wondering why there was no one and no cars passing you.
If thats what a black diamond is, i'm never attempting one! Such gorgeous shots, that wide angle, the dynamic range, resolution and steadiness were cinematic. I want more! Also you should look into stealth rubber shoes for climbing rock like that, supposed to be great
Awesome editing! I love Whiteface and the adk.
What a crazy amazing adventure! Sometimes the adventures that take some interesting twists and turns are the best ones! Really enjoyed watching this!
Another great video! Finally a video that captures the true beauty of the Adirondacks. Thanks!!
Once again, amazing video. Thank you for including us on your adventures.
Incredible quality. And so easy to watch. So peaceful also.
Thanks Jared! Glad to hear :)

Wow! You guys are amazing! That looks like a very intense and occasionally frightening climb!
Hey Chris, another great video. Your climb got steeper and steeper, had me on the edge of my seat. Going to have to call Julia "quack", poor girl can only express herself by quacking. Oh ya, 15:10 perfectly timed. Looking forward to so much more. Cheers. 🇨🇦

Fantastic video Chris and Julia! Love the views and the Quacking LOL my nickname is Ducky!
This has brought back some fond memories of some of the adventures I have participated in and continue to this day. Thanks for sharing.
Watching you climb I'm thinking how do you get down. At least there's a road and later so good samaritins :)
WOW!!! You guys are bad ass! I would have thrown in the towel at the three hour mark. I've always wanted to go with you guys on a trip until this one. You guys were like billy goats climbing for almost eight hours straight. My hat goes off to you two.

wow all that work
Thanks for watching Susan! :)
Lovely editing.
If thats what a black diamond is, i'm never attempting one! Such gorgeous shots, that wide angle, the dynamic range, resolution and steadiness were cinematic.
I want more!
Also you should look into stealth rubber shoes for climbing rock like that, supposed to be great
