Glad to see you back at the tutorials Reid. This videos are always fascinating to watch. I hope you and the Mrs are well, and are enjoying the holidays!
@@iamkarramusic See if you can twist his arm to give us nerds a 4 hour long deep dive into Equalization. I would binge-watch that badboy. Merry Christmas love!
@@ForTheForsaken I personally don't do anything too special or technically worthy of 4 hours explanation. I just do wide & basic adjustments with filters, shelves, or bell curves. Nothing surgical or impressive happening in my sessions
@@ReidStefanMusic Sorry, Reid, I was exaggerating a little on the time! I have seen you be quite surgical before with your frequency sweeping; I just wonder about how you make judgements on which are good, or bad.
Man I hate you so much! You are just way too dope. I have been following you for years and you are one of the best out there. You sold me on that StudioVerse.
Thanks for watching! Luckily StudioVerse is free but the Waves plugins inside are not free. If you’re downloading StudioVerse to host other brand 3rd party plugins it’s totally free
If you prefer seeing musicians do unpaid labor, then this probably isn’t the channel for you to be watching... I charge brands good money for my video and music productions
@@ReidStefanMusic you are missing my point. You can review tech / software, but you are not being transparent in this case. Waves software is notoriously anti-consumer, and while some of the stuff you used is good quality, some of it isn’t. But since this is a paid by waves ad, you cannot be fully transparent with your opinions. Thats what I meant bu loosing your viewers trust. You do you ofc, and I want you to get paid for your work. But I wont be looking for your content if I want a transparent opinion on anything music related
@@Dragonit_es what if I’ve been documented using these plugins in every vocal mix since 2015? Now it’s a lie because I charge for my video production skills and time?
@@ReidStefanMusic hey, no offense but you dont have to convince me. Keep doing you, if my opinion is just an anomaly in your audience, no need to stress. Just my 2 cents of what I perceive, and I could be wrong. Take care
This video is super helpful! Thanks for breaking it down step-by-step. I emailed you recently as JWLZ about mastering rap vocals and beat stems in Ableton-this is exactly the kind of content I was hoping to dive into. Appreciate all the value you bring to us creators!
Yo Stefan I never thought id say this but my puppet I think its time for you to shave 😂😂 Late nights starting to get to your looks getting a little scruffy my puppet. 😄
I produced this on the new MacBook Pro M4 Max! My buffer size was at 64 the entire video, Plus in the background, I was recording my display with ScreenFlow, and running Logic Pro 11 in the background to record my tutorial Mic and DAW output. Nothing but smooth sailing ⛵️
Realest puppet is back with fire production!! How does StudioVerse work when you don’t have every single waves plugin? Does it show presets that support your own selection of plugins?
hey reid, this sounded so good and full even though you have -6db on the masterchannel!!! is there a way you achieved the loudness? i always push to 0 and i feel like my basses clash with the kick way too much… i try sidechaining and it sounds too punchy, i try eq’ing the kick and bass by removing anything below 30hz and sometimes dipping around the 120hz region, but it still sounds off. could it be just poor sound selection?
It’s most likely poor sound selections and volume level choices. There’s no mixing magic happening here to make things sound “punchy” just sound selection and basic master chain
@@kittycloudz813 I personally find waves to be one of the best value & quality options. Especially given they only cost about $29 each. I never once felt ripped off, but I also use my plugins heavily in paid work that returns the value 100x every year
@@ReidStefanMusic K nice flex 👌 you deserve it, but are you not sponsored to support waves in this video ?..either way if Waves could get away with it, they would go subscription only, and the whole pay per version thing is lame, I also find they load slower because of the bloated installer, not to mention the installer runs in the background using memory..keep it real’ much better quality developer’s to support in this plugin game ..imo.
I hate waves plugins and i still hate waves products. I mean they have fucked up with their bloatware on Dell computers its a complete mess for audio management you can't rid of. They are ultra greed. I hate their wavesshell even they do great products. Still, Nice job tho i still have learnt
Thank you for watching! I personally love many waves plugins and find them to work extremely well on mac. I believe You can't find better tools for $29 each, especially considering how legendary Rvox, H-Delay, Rcompressor, TrueVerb, CLA Plugins, and many more are in the music industry.
I think Waves makes bangin quality tools for as cheap as $29 each. I've used them on nearly every vocal mix from the past decade. Never felt ripped off once
@ yeah I’m over their weird and complicated plug-in authorization process though. Other manufacturers have figured it out, waves has not. Frustrating. And their UI’s are old and terrible imo. But to each their own

Very strategic to make a beginner video right after Christmas so that people who got Ableton yesterday can watch this video to learn how to use it
Also many people are holiday traveling on airplanes or road trips today and need long, entertaining, & educational videos to enjoy 😊

the plugins you don't own appear "disabled" but the rest of the chain still loads correctly!
